Cafe Mochiko left us thoroughly impressed during our visit from out of town. We dined there twice over a weekend, once for dinner and once for morning pastries, and we were blown away both times. During dinner, we enjoyed a variety of appetizers, including the savory and fragrant Mochi Mochi Panic, Karaage, and Kabocha Raisu, all of which were hits. For the entree, we tried The Ohio from their rotating menu, which featured a rich pork and fish broth with tender sous vide pork and chewy noodles—an absolute delight. On our second visit, we stopped by for pastries on a Sunday. Despite about 15-minutes wait in line, the pastries were well worth it. We tried out a variety of their signature pastries, including the Ube Croissant and Genmaicha Melonpan, all of which were so well-made and delicious.Overall, Cafe Mochiko is an exceptional Asian-inspired bakery and Japanese restaurant. While they don't take reservations and may involve a wait, it's well worth the visit. We are so thrilled to have visited this gem in Cincinnati!

Small and crowded during opening hours, slow service. Food was decent but not worth the hassle.

These pastries could convince me to move to Cincinnati. The cornbread and the cream cheese everything bagel bao were my favorite but all of them were delicious. I’d love to come back and try dinner as well.

Yummy food, however very little options for vegan and no vegetarian ramen. But we enjoyed our dish and everyone else’s food looked and smelled Devine.

Udon noodles, salty mochi, Tang Yang chicken, and garlic tonkotsu ramen are all delicious? It feels amazing and has a nostalgic taste. I think the Tang Yang chicken tastes like salty crispy chicken, the salty mochi tastes like fried plantains, the udon sauce is just right, the ramen has enough flavor and the barbecued pork is very good. tasty. There is a paid parking lot opposite.I want to try the pork chop sandwich and rice bowl next time

Had breakfast there twice and dinner once during a trip to Cincy. The sweet corn bibingka is the best breakfast item in my view. Dinner was also great. Had the burger and some specials. Everything was top notch.

This is among the best Japanese pastries to be found in the Cincinnati area. Staff is always extremely polite and the dining area is immaculate any given day of the week. Be sure to try the monkey bread!

Cafe Mochiko was delicious. The weekly ramen was Tori Soba with chicken thigh, chicken breast, and pork chasu tamago, menma and negi in a chicken broth . The Cincinnati style chili ramen was something else. I did not think I'd enjoy it as much as I did! Will definitely be back there.

When a place has a carefully curated smaller menu but does everything so well you never get tired of that menu, that is the sign of a good restaurant. Excellent service, worth the wait for a table, love the pastries too. One of my favorite places to eat in Cincy.

The baked goods here are second to none. I recommend the kimchi egg croissant and any of the donuts - I had the taro mochi donut today and it was fabulous. There are vegan and gluten free options as well.

Delicious food! The apps were spectacular. One of the best Kara Age I've tried. The Mochi Mochi Panic was surprisingly good. Mains were delicious too. Service was great. I've tried the pastries and they are of great quality. Definitely try this place if you are intrigued.

Great experience as always at Mochiko!First time dining in the restaurant and not just having pastries from the bakery. We went for dinner on Black Friday, and were seated maybe 45 minutes after putting our names in. Staff were coordinated and kind.We got the kabocha raisu, chili miso udon, katsu sando, and the Cincy chili ramen. Everything was amazing in both presentation and taste. Noodles were fresh (I hear they make them in house but have not confirmed) and had the perfect chewy bite. The Japanese/American fusion elements came across really well for each dish, especially the Cincy-specific flavors. I saw a lot of people only ordering the Cincy chili ramen, but everything is delicious so if you're thinking of going, consider branching out!
