Service was great, but the food wasn’t the best. I came for dinner, so I’m not gonna judge too hard, I know I didn’t come at the right time for traditional diner food. We got the American cheese burger the triple decker grilled cheese, and the Pretzel. Burger was dry and lacked flavor. Mayo was sub par as well, but ranch was pretty good! The Triple decker grilled cheese had a little too much going on for my liking. I’d recommend getting without the sauce. And the pretzel was great, but VERY overpriced for the size you got. The cheese was also a little starchy, but good overall. Mustard was different, but good. Not sure if I’d get dinner here again, but willing to try brunch!

Came for a birthday dinner and the food was on point. Great appetizers, extensive bar menu and a good selection of entrees without having too many options, made the choices pretty easy.
We started with the calamari, pretzel, and cocktail shrimp. Highly recommend all three. Calamari had a little sweet and sour Asian vibe. Pretzel was hot and fresh with umami-filled beer cheese. Cocktail shrimp was fresh and the cocktail sauce tasted housemade and delicious. Didn’t try the house bread. Gotta do that next time.
For entrees, had the BBQ chopped salad, crab cakes, cheeseburger, and tripe stacked grilled cheese. All were super tasty. Grilled cheese had some serious dijon on it - so buyer beware if you don’t love dijon.
Service was great and the total for four was $150 with cocktails, three apps, and entrees all around. Felt like a good deal for the level of service and quality of food.
Mood was quirky diner-chic with dim lighting. Overall a great vibe. Would like to check it out for happy hour, as the bar looked pretty cool.
Highly recommend this new addition to the city!

Such a great addition to the neighborhood. The staff are so nice, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is cozy and can be laid back or a little fancy. I've been saying for years I just want a close place where I can get some staple dishes (burger, club, salads, etc) that's cozy enough to hang out at for a bit. This hits every mark with the added bonus of having a bar and great dinner options. And it's so convenient w/ the proximity to the hotel for out-of-town friends. My new favorite spot. Sit at the bar and ask for Jeremy, he is the most fun you'll have with a bartender anywhere.

i had finally taken the time to visit the new cap city that opened. i was super excited and ready to try a new place, and the servers and hosts were super friendly and made sure i was comfortable. although, there was a female manager who was completely rude to the employees. she made it seem like they couldn’t do anything right, and i could tell it was affecting them. the food was also pretty good, i had the romano chicken!

For a comfort food type of place, I was a little disappointed.
There was not a good selection of appetizers.
I had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes, which was mediocre.
My friends had the fish and crab cakes, and they felt the same way.
They bring complimentary rolls to the table which are very prettt to look at. Some butter - cinnamon butter or garlic butter or something. The rolls are kind of bland as they are served.
We were greeted quickly but had to wait 15 minutes past our reservation time. This was no issue for us however, as they have a nice bar.
The waitress was nice and mostly attentive, except she could not seem to get me the chocolate malt that I ordered. I asked about it twice and she told me that there were “like 5 milkshakes ahead of you”. What? After 15 minutes and 8:30 PM at night?
This is a pretty big place and the seating was comfortable.
All I wanted was a malt.
Parking: There is a small paid lot you can use or street parking.

We were greeted warmly and our server was fantastic. The food was salty and imo high priced for not the best quality. We enjoyed our drinks so maybe we would return for happy hour? A ballpark pretzel for $12 is a bit insane, though the beer cheese was good. Maybe we ordered the wrong things, but we did order the meatloaf and honestly it was just okay. I wish I could say more good things bc we did enjoy our time, we just didn't enjoy our meals. Sorry:(

We tried Cap City last night and were so happy with the experience! Our server, Chloe, was attentive and so kind and pleasant. The food (fish sandwich and philly cheesesteak) were AWESOME. We were also asked several times if we needed gluten-free menus or had any dietary needs, which we so appreciate. Very thoughtful!
We already can't wait to come back.

Great place. The atmosphere is absolutely perfect. Noel, our server, was attentive and helpful. She gave a great suggestion when I was figuring out the best way to order around my specific dietary needs. Also, I recommend the Tamarind Glazed Chicken Wings.
