Favorite sandwich shop since I was a kid. There's always a line because everyone else loves it too.

Shout it from the rooftops people! This deli is legit, the sandwiches slap, the place is straight bussin, its got all the rizz you would want from a deli, whatever 2025 slogan fits your vocabulary this deli is it. My first choice was the Hot Heidi since two employees recommended it (Did not disappoint) I will be back to make my way through the menu ( probably tomorrow)

Iâm a regular and one of my favs is the #7 Chicken Salad Croissant. Todayâs sandwich had more greens than chicken salad ⊠about half of the usual amount. Canât call and complain, so this was my only recourse. I did save my receipt and will mention it on my next visit. Disappointing!

I frequently go to Carl's for lunch, and recently had them cater my July 4th party. It was delicious, and the sandwiches were a hit with my guests. I will definitely order Carl's for my next party. Excellent service and food! They're the best.

Was a fan of Carlâs Deli until learning about their venture rebranding Burkhartâs Deli on 12th street in Newport. Around June of 2024, the owners of Carlâs Deli began renting the corner market of 12th and Patterson, but they didnât last long. After gentrifying the space (refusing to accept EBT, sell tobacco products, or anything deemed âunhealthyâ) and allegedly refusing to pay rent for 6+ months, the store was closed. I brought this to light in the comments of an Instagram Reel promoting the Deli, where I was met with blatant refusal of accountability and lies by the owners. Donât recommend giving this establishment your business despite their (illusion of) welcoming and community-forward front.

Not what it once was. Prepared types of salad used to be excellent, now dry & generally flavorless. Sandwich makers can't/won't follow even the simplest of requests, such as extra oil/vinegar on a $12 plus dollar sandwich.
Great townie spot. Love the deli vibe and the number 8 was awesome.

The bread was stale and meat quality is mediocre for the price. My corned beef was dry. The cole slaw was using the core of the cabbage and it was hard AF. I tried it twice and it's really not worth it.
