YELLING at the customer because they are in the wrong place, while letting one of your paying customers out the door, is rude and unacceptable. I'd rather have the drive thru fast food garbage than visit this establishment again. Is the food good? I don't know, I left due to the horribly rude service.

This place is really good in my opinion (I’m not a big fan of bread or sandwiches, but I do enjoy deli meats from time to time). Quality of the food is good and the flavor is amazing! First time being there- not sure what to order, so I ordered #15 which is the chicken salad & Swiss and it was really good. I ended up ordering the same thing every time I go there now! It is now one of my favorite deli place. They have a few outdoor tables you can sit when it is nice outside. No indoor sitting, street parking. They also sell ice cream, cookies, chips and drinks.

This place has a ton of sandwich options and they are all solid! They always have interesting specials as well. I suggest eating it out front with a bottled classic Coca-Cola. It just hits better!

I visited Carl’s deli today and had a very bad experience with service. It was not many people being served at the time and all had been waited on. I was waiting for about 10-15 minutes and no one greeted me or asked for my order.I finally walked up to one of the worker’s (short boy, thin with blonde hair). I asked him if he was ready to take my order and he rudely shook his head and said no. He didn’t even say we will be with you in a moment. Very rude! Another guy jumped in and took my order. Poor customer service is unacceptable and the owner should not tolerate it! This should be addressed. What is your business without customers ? Not a pleasant experience!

My favorite deli spot in Cincinnati! So many amazing options- you literally can’t go wrong. They have everything you could need and all of the locally owned side options as well :) Customer service is a 10/10 and it’s female owned!! What more could you ask for.
This is pretty lengthy but despite a challenging start to my visit, my experience at Carl’s Deli turned out to be incredibly positive. While I was reversing to park, a customer zoomed into the spot I was aiming for. Unfortunately, as a woman of color, dealing with moments like this isn’t unfamiliar, so I brushed it off, parked elsewhere, and proceeded to pick up my order.
To my surprise, the same person entered the deli shortly after me. I was still checking out when an employee, observing the earlier situation, kindly addressed her on my behalf. His unexpected support caught me off guard, and I didn’t get the chance to thank him properly before I left.
So to that employee: thank you for your kindness and for standing up for me. Your gesture truly made my day and demonstrated exceptional customer service.
Beyond the wonderful hospitality, my sandwich was fantastic—every detail was correct, and the flavors were spot on. I’m now a loyal customer and can’t wait to return to explore more of the menu. Carl’s Deli gets my highest recommendation!
