The chicken salad is great. It's my normal choice but I switched it up today and this sandwich was amazing !

What a hidden gem! Fantastic, friendly service and a wide selection of options for everyone. Happy to see a few vegetarian items on the menu. I got the egg & cheese sammie with potato salad and will be back to try the egg salad and pimento cheese, and the broccoli salad side! Classic diner vibes and plenty of seating make this a great stop for quick lunch or takeout.

Fantastic. Passing thru during a WGI weekend and searched google for a sandwich…after sorting through the obvious chains found Chefs Cafe… wonderful place. Special was egg salad but they have “world famous “ chicken salad…i was torn between two and ended up with chicken salad on Rye with some pasta salad for side….owner stopped by our table to check on us. Very nice place. Side note…owner brought me a taster of the egg salad. Was tempted to eat a 2nd sandwich. There is always tomorrow on way out of town. Do yourself a favor WGI parents and swing by and pick up a tray to feed your people.

I stumbled upon this unassuming gem one afternoon, and I’m so glad I did. Of course, I had to try the world-famous chicken salad sandwich—and it did not disappoint! Served on the most delicious croissant I’ve ever had, it was arguably one of the best sandwiches in the world.
To complement the meal, I added a side of their chili, which was equally fresh and flavorful. Everything was made with care, and the staff was warm and welcoming. If you visit during lunchtime, be prepared for a bit of a rush, but rest assured—the service is impressively efficient. Oh’ and don’t forget to throw in a brownie (edge piece) for a delicious dessert.
I will definitely be back!

I ordered the Italian sub with coleslaw, pasta salad, and potato salad as sides. All of the food tasted fresh and delicious. The bread on the sandwich, in particular, was REALLY good. It reminded me of the taste and texture of an Olive Garden breadstick, but better. I loved that the sides were all reasonably priced, too, which allowed me to try more.

The employees were great. The food came quickly since they weren’t busy. The first thing I tried was the chicken and dumplings. I was excited because the place looked like it was going to deliver (just a deli) plus the good reviews. The soup was super bland and watery. There was 1 piece of chicken. It was only a cup but come on, 5 bucks for that? The sandwich sizes were not very big either, but the sandwich was pretty good. I spent 30 bucks for a cup of soup and two tiny sandwiches and 2 cans of sprite. I understand everything is more expensive these days but I’d rather pay 5 more bucks and get a real sandwich. Disappointing.
