came here for valentines day in 2021, my food was cold and we sat near a window so we kept feeling the draft of cold air, plus we saw a argument here between im assuming a staff member and someone else... Needless to say we won't be back.
Reservation confirmed the day before via open table. We showed up at 7:26pm for a 7:30pm reservation and the restaurant was completely closed and locked up. No sign on the door or phone call indicating why. Tried calling the number and the voicemail box was full and not taking any new messages. Needless to say, finding an alternative on Saturday night at 7:30 was not easy.

We arrived at the restaurant and it was closed for business. No notification from Open Table or the restaurant.
We made reservations for our anniversary and confirmed via open table. When we arrived the restaurant was LOCKED, DARK, and EMPTY. Not sure what happened because we were never notified. Tried to call the restaurant and received a “full mailbox” message. Finding another place to eat for our anniversary on a Saturday night at 6pm on Mother's Day weekend was not ideal.
We wanted to love it, and parts of it we did. The octopus was incredible, and the friendliness of the gentleman who served us a drink prior to our table being ready. But, parts of the risotto ball appetizer was still frozen and my black spaghetti with rock shrimp had some cheap replacement shrimp. Rock shrimp is a speciality and has a lobster like flavor. I suspect they ran out and just substituted, which would have been fine if they had mentioned. My wife’s steak was requested to be prepared without the added cheese, but came out with the cheese melted on it. It was also somewhat rare for her request and for her liking, so she requested it be made again. It came out rare again the second time, so she requested a box to heat at home. Neither a free desert or a discount on the bill was offered, and we paid without requesting either, but we couldn’t help feeling like a manager should have been called over to make sure everything was ok. All in all, we loved the atmosphere and the vibe of the place, and they haven’t been open very long. Hopefully, they get better. I can’t help to feel that they come across like they have a little bit of a take or or leave it attitude at the moment.
Good food and service. Ambience is a bit dark but the outdoor patio in the back will be lovely this summer
No COVID precautions. Table spacing was tight, only half the staff wore masks. Service was not bad but the doors was average especially for the price. More than anything the place had a tired vibe for a brand new spot on the square, especially decor and layout. It was not terrible but would not recommend.
First time there was was very impressed. The food and service were very very good. Actually the rabbit dish was excellent! This is a go back to restaurant.
It was a very good meal...black spaghetti a bit too spicy, but everything else was very good. Rolls, especially. What was really nice though, was the service. She let us enjoy our wine for a bit before asking about apps, then after the apps were done, she asked us about our entre. Didn't feel rushed at all which let us enjoy our meal. Will be back.

Great atmosphere but got somewhat loud as night went on. Food was delicious, well prepared. Server forgot to bring table bread until after entree was eaten.
Not sure what's happened recently, but the food quality has slipped recently. The Black Spaghetti with crispy Rock Shrimp was sent out with “not crispy” regular shrimp. My wife's Rigatoni was good, but was too lightly sauced. We are hoping this was just an “off night” and not a permanent change in the kitchen.
This is a true village jewel, also a veritable tiny piece of Italy in Cincinnati. Every part of the experience, from the service to the wine list to the Cibo, was spectacular. I am already looking forward to returning!
This was our second visit to Cibo E Vino, a classy Italian restaurant in Mt. Lookout. The food was fantastic. I had the orecchiette, which had a terrific light sauce that I ended up sopping up with some bread. My wife had a fettuccine that that was also very good. Complementing the meal was a nice bottle of Falanghina.
What a wonderful experience. Great food and great vino. Wonderful bar tender.
