Was deciding where to eat with friends, and saw this place on Google Maps. Grew up in Asia my whole life so I’m quite particular when it comes to asian food, but this place did not disappoint!
Ordered dishes as shown in the photo.
There’s a reason why this place is highly rated, and this is why!

Nice experience, appreciated Max going out of his way to explain the menu and help us get exactly what we wanted. Parking is a bit go a challenge in the area and not a large dining room but it’s definitely worth a visit.

Not a huge place, but what they lack in space they make up in experience! After spending time in malaysia, I was really missing the food and wanting something that reminded me of it. This was perfect for that. Delicious delicious food! And the owner and employees were so very nice, answering all my questions about what they had and what adjustments I could make to my food. The price was amazing compared to most places, with my 5 items, (2 appetizers, 1 main dish, 1 drink and 1 dessert) only costing 28 dollars! It was a truly wonderful experience and I would go back in a heartbeat!
**Their teh tarik and nasi lemak are to die for. And pandan is one of my favorite things ever, so make sure to try their pandan cheescake!

Nice joint conveniently located in heart of mt lookout. Super friendly staff. Owner is from Malaysia and foods are authentic! One tip of advise for Chinese diners: when ordering hainanese chicken make sure to tell them serve chill don’t heat up. The duck is good. Lemon cheese cake is awesome!

Small dining area, but food was superb. You know when they serve the food and drinks in paper plates and utensils… its good food.
They focus their time instead of washing dishes to cooking high quality delicious and authentic Malaysian food. You must try the roast duck or friend Chicken here.

Fantastic restaurant! Food is excellent but most importantly I went there with a friend who was dealing with blood pressure issues. They were incredibly kind and accommodating. They made her a low sodium meal and the owner came out to talk to her to make sure she enjoyed everything. Cannot recommend highly enough!!!

Well… I think this restaurant is seriously OVERRATED. I honestly don’t understand how they still manage to get good ratings with this kind of service and food quality. Am I just the unlucky one?
I went with friends for dinner last August. I picked this place because the reviews didn’t look bad and I was missing Asian food. They don’t take reservations — first come, first serve. Fair enough, but it means you’re stuck waiting outside for half an hour or more, in the heat, with zero shade.
First red flag: a lot of items were already sold out, and it wasn’t even late. The staff weren’t exactly “rushed,” but you basically have to spit out your order fast and perfectly, or else they’ll just walk away from your table. Fine, I’m here for food, not for warm and fuzzy service.
We ordered pork dumplings as an appetizer — they looked and smelled fine, but when I bit into one, it was still raw inside. The pork was pink and mushy. We flagged it immediately, and the staff’s response was: “The pink color is marinade.”. Honestly, that is the most ridiculous excuse I’ve ever heard in a restaurant. Sure, marinade can change color, but it doesn’t magically make raw meat safe to eat! If the chef had at least come out and said, “Yes, it’s safe, it’s meant to be that way,” I might’ve trusted it and given it another try. But they didn’t even bother or pretend to asking the chef. Just brushed us off.
So I skipped the appetizer. My friends’ entrées (barbecue pork and some beef dish) came out — the Canton-style barbecue pork was actually decent, as a Cantonese standard it was quite good, so they enjoyed their meals. But mine? Completely missing. We reminded the staff more than once, and only few tables there, it’s not like they shouldn’t have noticed. By the time my roast duck noodle finally arrived, my friends were already finished and I had lost all appetite. To be fair, the duck itself was excellent and very authentic, but the noodles were just okay. Overall, a real shame.
Oh, and one more thing: are they supposed to be charging tax during Ohio’s tax holiday period?

Fire. I got a bowl with chicken and a side of the brisket. Both were amazing. The similarities to chipotle and with the cheese because the rice the chicken, the toppings were different, even though the ideas are similar. The coconut hot sauce was amazing and flavorful, and didn’t scorch your tongue so the rest of the flavors didn’t come through. The brisket absolutely juicy And amazing and good just by itself. I can’t wait to try the pork belly next time.

Sago is a snug Malaysian spot with just a handful of tables, so expect a short wait during peak hours. The menu centers on individualized rice and noodle plates plus BBQ meats, with less emphasis on family-style dishes and unfortunately no Kway Teow.
From our visit, the standouts included the egg-coated shrimp and rich beef Rendang. While the Hainanese chicken noodles were flavorful, it was a touch sesame-heavy. Overall, a solid stop for straightforward Malaysian flavors in Cincinnati.
