Brussels sprouts had nothing but leaves manager took them off my bill Very nice The other food was good
The service is outstanding. The bar is a lively, fun place that is enjoyable every time we are there. Every bartender and bartendress is knowledgeable, friendly and personally pleasant. Hats off to Flora, Katie, Travis and Danialle.
Best steaks in downtown Cincinnati under management of Josh Treadway. You won't be disappointed!
Food was outstanding. Table for four we had: filet, whipped potatoes, cowboy t-bone, short ribs, French onion soup, lobster bisque and the Johnny Bench dessert. All of it was perfect. Ludo our server was also very attentive and the manager stopped to make sure our dinner was as we expected. It was a great evening and I highly recommend.
My friend and I sat in the new “outdoor” area before a show. Everything was good and the server was friendly. I think the prices are a bit much since the main entrees don't usually include sides or salad. The sides are shareable. We were in a rush to get the check for the show timing so the manger helped out to get it more quickly, which was nice.
Service and food were excellent. Our server was very personable and checked on us occasionally. We ordered a couple of items to go and they were brought to our table in a timely manner. We ordered salmon and mashed potatoes on the side as well as dessert. Everything was very nicely prepared and presented. The food was delicious. We will be back.
Excellent customer service actually their food and steaks are better than Jeff ruby and the Precinct
This is one of the best restaurants in Cincinnati's region. Food is excellent and the service is always top-notch. The bartenders (Travis, Katie, Flora and Dannial) are great fun and great professionals. Ludo is the best waiter. Great selection of alcohol be it scotch, bourbon, gin, etc. This is upscale dinning that is worth the price. Enjoy!
Perfectly cooked steaks and we loved the BLT salad. Nice touch with chocolate mouse for my wife's bday
I like casinos for a unique experience and excitement. However, Council Oak is a reason of itself to go to Hard Rock Cincinnati. The food is a cut above, and the service is the best of any restaurant I have ever visited. The bar staff is amazing!!

Atmosphere is great. I love seeing the kitchen and the wine. The bar is beautiful and I love the display. Restaurant clean and lovely.
Food - bread was amazing that they first brought out. Then it all fell flat for me. My spouse enjoyed the seafood appetizer. I ordered the crab cakes and it was an instant regret. Those were one of the worst things I ever tasted. And it ended up souring my stomach for the rest of the night. My steak flavor wasn’t there. But it was cooked right. I ordered it Oscar style and while it did have good chunks of crab and asparagus the sauce was not right. Unfortunately it went uneaten more than three bites by me. My spouse ordered an expensive wagu one and it also was unappealing but he did eat it.
Service - no problems or concerns in fact they were all kind and the hostess is very nice and friendly.
Bar - fantastic drink making skills.
Honestly was disappointed. For the price my expectations were higher.

Council Oak is in the Hard Rock Casino but is easily accessible. My Uber dropped us off by the front door and picked us up in the exact same spot. We were greeted upon arrival and were seated promptly as we did have a reservation. Service was well done from start to finish, and we had a manager stop by about halfway through the meal. It is loud inside, so do not expect an intimate meal. Lighting is great, but the ceiling is high and does not give off a cozy vibe. Others may love this, but it could be a detractor for some. Our food was well prepared but lacked the attention to detail on all servings you would get at "The Capital Grill" or "Flemmings." It's not that the food was not good it's just not up to the level for the same price point. Additionally, our portion size was large on the appetizer, small on salad, small on my lamb chop main course, and large on desert. My wife's chicken portion was huge, which was fantastic. All in all it a solid B to B+, and I would suggest you try it to see for yourself as your opinion and experience may be different.

Absolutely WONDERFUL experience!! Every year, my siblings and their significant others get together to go to a dinner around the holidays. With them both living out of state, we don't get to do this often so we enjoy it when we can. This year we chose Council Oak for our dinner, and it did not disappoint! The drinks were phenomenal, the appetizers and soups were delicious, our steaks were prepared perfectly and the desert was fantastic! My wife and I will definitely be back! One of the best restaurant experiences I've had in the Cincinnati area!

Had dinner reservations for a party of four on Saturday night, December 14th at 7:00 pm for my wife, my son (25), his girlfriend (22) and myself.
Arrived promptly and upon entering the casino on our way to the council oak restaurant, we were stopped by security who requested to see ID for my son and his girlfriend.
They didn't have the physical documents however, they had the scanned ID's on their cellphones.
We were told that without the physical documents we will not be allowed to enter and dine.
Huge disappointment needless to say.
Really poor job on the restaurant part not to make it known in every possible way that ID's are required to enter the restaurant.
It should have been posted in numerous places so that it can not be missed. On my previous dinner at the restaurant, my wife and I were not asked to present ID's.
I guess, if you look young and might be underage, the require an ID.
But, they don't let you know that.
So, there we were, a party of four, prime dinner time on a Saturday night in December, having driven 45 minutes, just to be turned away standing no chance to get a table anywhere decent on a Saturday night.
Shame on you Council oak restaurant, management, ownership.

Sat in the bar on a Saturday and our server duo of Katy and Travis were absolutely phenomenal. The food was excellent, but the service made the biggest impact. Management also came by and checked in on our experience. Could not say more great things about the service here.
