My favorite coffee shop in all of Cincinnati because of the kind staff. I’ve been going here pretty often for a while now, and barista Emily makes you feel right at home while providing exceptional drinks! Emily is very welcoming and provides great conversation and service.

If you’re looking for the best coffee in Oakley, this is the place! They always have a great iced coffee and coffee of the day, but their honey bear latte is a must try. One thing that makes them unique is that they offer macadamia milk, which is a delicious alt milk option. They also have some other great non-coffee drinks like their peach black tea or seasonal seltzer. If you’re hungry they always have a plentiful and fresh selection of pastry too. You can’t really miss if you’re looking for a great coffee, no matter your preference.

One of the best coffee shops I’ve visited.
The coffee is exceptional, the staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting

Not a coffee drinker, but my life loves Deeper Roots. I’ve picked up lattes for her here many times. Staff is always very friendly. Fast service. My wife enjoys the maple leaf latte.

The atmosphere and service are both excellent, but the coffee could use some improvement. I’ve tried two different lattes so far, and both had an overpowering bitter orange peel flavor that made them nearly undrinkable due to the acidity. I’d love to see this adjusted so the coffee matches the quality of the overall experience.

The spot to get caffeinated; pretty much every drink i’ve had was terrific. Recommended

A model coffee shop. My wife and I are coffee shop adventurists and have been compiling a list of the best in the state, and this is up there with the best. I love when coffee shops offer complimentary water, and have special dine-in options. Their coffee is really good, and the area of Cincinnati this shop is in is great for walking around.

I recently visited this coffee shop and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing — not because of the coffee, but because of the service.

When I walked in, I was hoping to have a nice interaction with the barista, ask a few questions about the coffee, and enjoy the atmosphere. Instead, I was met with coldness and attitude. The barista didn’t smile, didn’t seem welcoming, and made me feel like I was being difficult just for asking simple, coffee-related questions.

For clarity — I wasn’t rude, didn’t ask anything personal, and wasn’t trying to come off as a snob. All I asked about were the basics: the origin of the espresso, whether their pour-overs were machine-made, and if they used the same recipe across different beans. These are completely fair questions for a coffee shop that presents itself as specialty-focused.

The coffee itself was okay — not amazing, but drinkable. But honestly, the poor service made it hard to enjoy. Hospitality is just as important as the quality of the product, especially in a coffee shop environment where many customers are looking for a welcoming vibe and a small moment of comfort in their day.

I hope the owners read this and take it seriously. I’m not writing this to be mean — I’m writing this because I believe every good business should care about how their staff treats customers. I strongly recommend additional training for the staff to ensure that every customer is treated with kindness, professionalism, and respect.

Customer experience matters, and right now, this part of the business is lacking.

Coffee tastes like gas station coffee. This place is playing pretend.

They gave the best drip coffee in the game.

Atmosphere and service great but please fix the bitter orange peel taste to your coffee. I’ve had two different lattes here now and almost undrinkable with the over-acidic taste.

Friendly service

Enjoyed the coffee and atmosphere. It gets a little cramped when the line gets long. Also, didn't know where to put our cups when we were leaving.
