Three very large groups arrived just minutes after the four of us. Happy for the bottom line of the restaurant, not so much if you wanted to have a four way conversation between friends who haven't seen each other in a long time. We hurriedly ordered lunch before the kitchen was swamped. Server was odd indeed.
My first time at deSha's. I've been hearing people sing their praises for 20 years. Guinness was poured improperly. Someone needs to teach them how to do it. French onion soup was good. I heard The meatloaf was great, it was not. It was overworked while mixing so it was too dense. Also it wasn't very tasty. We like the quality of food, though it is often not up to temperature (especially the sides). There is usually something missing, once it was no crayons for kids because the chef was going out of town and didn't order them...the last time it was salt and the server told us they had taken them all to the back to refill...once they were out of a dish completely...just odd things for a place that is supposed to be on the nicer end. The location is convenient though and we enjoy...
