Tried the breakfast bowl and breakfast sandwich and both were delicious! The sausage had great flavor and the bowl was fresh and had just the right amount of spice! They also gave me 2 cookies with my order-so sweet!
Easy takeout spot with a fully vegan menu.
The biscuits + gravy were perfect and I’ll be dreaming about the chorizo breakfast burrito until my next visit!
Don’t overthink it, get the carrot cake

Absolutely delicious vegan breakfast, we loved the sandwich and the wrap. Made a pit-stop on a road trip and now want to plan a trip to Cincinnati to come back for more.

What a fantastic dining experience! The vegan cuisine was authentic and utterly delicious. This was my first visit, but I'll definitely be returning. My order consisted of scrambled tofu, biscuits, portobello mushroom gravy, and two breakfast burritos - one with tofu scramble and the other with soyrizo.
What an incredibly nice lady selling amazing food! Bowl with spicy mayo ❤️❤️❤️
We stopped here while traveling through Cincinnati last week. Everything we tried was amazing and we had very friendly service. Our five year old (with food allergies) loved the walnut cake. We all enjoyed the roasted potatoes. And I'm searching for a recipe for coleslaw that might come close to what I had at Essen Kitchen.

Great vibe and super-friendly staff. We got some maple dill slaw, biscuits and gravy, and carrot cake. Everything was delicious and we waited about 10 mins for our order on a Saturday afternoon. We will be coming back next time we are in Cincinnati.

We discovered this place by a coincidence. It was a great coincidence! Fully vegan fully delicious. We took a quick lunch to go, the staff is extremely helpful with your order, friendly and skillful. We got the goddess bowl and sandwich. There are nice gluten-free options and it's good to mention that they do a lot of stuff such as sauces or seitan homemade, which is awesome. We enjoyed it all!

The cooks at Essen were so kind and their food is so good!! I sat at Deeper Roots coffee to enjoy this biscuit with maple butter and jam and tofu scramble and it was the perfect amount of food. I’m full and happy. Thanks Essen Kitchen.
FYI, this is basically a restaurant where you order takeout, as there is not a space for seating. The grilled cheese and tomato bisque was delicious and full of flavor. I love pesto and the pesto here was tasty. I tried the Mac n’ cheese and it was just okay, nothing spectacular about it. Surprisingly, I loved the carrot cake. Nice chunks of carrots and walnuts. The first one the cake had a slight lemony flavor to it, but it wasn’t too much.
