Ordered a few apps, the pork buns hardly had any meat inside just stuffed with cabbage, the chicken koraage was oily & wasn’t crispy. The gyozas were okay but nothing special. Then we ordered the tonkatsu ramen , it lacked depth and the fatty pork flavor needed for a proper tonkatsu. Very disappointed. The chicken Katsu was flavorless, and served with plain white rice not sushi style, also unseasoned and no fluffiness at all. $60 down the drain. And the service was terrible. Will not be back. The sad thing is I had genki ramen about a year ago and the short rib dish/& tonkatsu was fantastic… not sure where the authenticity went.

Stopped in at around 4 on Sunday, we were immediately greeted and given a seat. I’d never had ramen before, the server was extremely helpful in giving suggestions on what to try. Not only this, but she gave great attention to detail and was very attentive. The food was excellent, but the service we received really made the experience. I recommend anyone to stop and give this place a try. You won’t regret it.

Great japanese food served well. Ramen actually came in a ramen bowl and tasted great! Chicken teriyaki was tender and flavorful. Would eat here regularly.

For her birthday,my daughter wanted something different from our usual birthday dinner hotspot. She wanted ramen....so I went on the hunt.Genki Ramen & Izakaya had really good reviews so I booked a table through OpenTable. When we got there, we were greeted warmly and the waitress was awesome. It took a bit before all six of us could decide what to eat, but after about 15 minutes we had all decided.Between the 6 of us, we had Regular Miso, Spicy Miso, regular Tonkotsu, Spicy Tonkotsu, Gyoza, and fish cake. Within 10-15 minutes of ordering, all of our food came out. The food was hot, AND IT WAS DELICIOUS! We've been to another highly ranked ramen house in the area, and we enjoyed Genki Izakaya more. We have been to the Michelin-starred Ramen-Ya in Las Vegas and...this is the gold standard to aspire to. But Genki Izakaya is awesome in it's own right. When we died, they had a special where everything was 20% off, so the bill for a party of six was under $100!!If you enjoy Ramen....and I don't mean the stuff you buy in 12-packs at Walmart, then you have to stop at Genki Ramen & Izakaya.

$15 for a sub-par Ramen is crazy, I do not reccomend.

Good food and friendly service. Parking is a little tricky. The food is flavorful, fillingand quick to the table. Very spacious. Not very busy. I will be back for more. Decently priced. Space for a nice sized group or just a date night couple.

If I could give this place 3.5 stars I would. It's in a large shopping complex and the inside feels relatively new and generic. Not a huge place but we went for lunch on a weekday and got a table right away.We got the okonomiyaki and soft shell crab for appetizers. I got the spicy tonkatsu ramen for my main course. The soft shell crab was quite saturated in oil and not super flavorful. The okonomiyaki was mostly soggy as well. The spicy ramen had a decent spice but was a bit too salty.Overall, if you want ramen and you happen to be close by, this would be an okay choice. Not sure I would seek it out though.

Awesome service. Delicious, freshly made food. Not much ambiance but they do have comfy booths. I will be craving the seafood okonomiyaki. It was densely packed with actual crab, not crab stick. Also, the spring rolls were wonderful. Crisp, not greasy, perfectly seasoned with white pepper. Can't wait to go back.

Excellent ramen with take-out options. Great to take home a bowl you don't finish considering how good the appetizers are.

I honestly feel like the people who don’t like the ramen are expecting something similar to a package of ramen. I’ve seen worse ramens rated better than Genki and those restaurants are using package noodles!Genki is amazing. My favorite place (Miyoshi) closed down a few years ago, and I started going to Osaka who also has great ramen. But Genki takes the cake because they not only have amazing ramen, but the atmosphere is more family friendly than Osaka and other ramen joints.I have tried their Shoyu and Tonkotsu ramen. Both are great, but I prefer the Tonkotsu (I do in general though.) We always get an order of gyoza which is some of the best gyoza we’ve had. My husband and kids get the chicken teriyaki which he also prefers to other places, they use dark meat, so it’s not dry like others. The staff is always super friendly and understanding about kids being messy. We love Osaka and Matsuya for ramen as well, but will be returning to Genki frequently for their amazing food + atmosphere.
