I have no idea what magic they are doing back in the kitchen but an ordinary ham and swiss sandwich turned into a gastronomic delight. I always ask for extra mayo and other stuff cos I find my sandwiches dry wherever I go, but not here. Firstly, the bread is incredible, crunchy but melt in your mouth crust and super tasty. The ham, onion jam, pickle, swiss cheese, etc, was so good that I did not touch the extra mayo and onion jam I ordered on the side. Will definitely come back here again and again! Very reasonable prices for what you get as well.

Good plates has been on our to-do list for quite some time now, and we finally got around to visiting today.
The good: -Smash burger, burger/fry sauce, and braised beef sandwich were all very, very good. I will be thinking about that braised beef for quite a while. -Waitress was very sweet and personable. -Reasonable prices
The bad: -Very hot and uncomfortable inside. No AC and tons of fans everywhere. It was tolerable but hardly enjoyable. On a 90 degree day it actually felt good to go outside. -Very loud inside due to said fans, people trying to talk over the fans, and also because of having the front door open to the craziness of McMillan. -Understaffed. Waitress trying to do way too much by herself. -The fries weren't very good. I appreciate they are homemade but the texture and flavor is off. The poutine fries were NOT GOOD. This dish needs some serious recalibration. I couldn't come up with a compliment for this dish. -No lights were on in the dining area. Very strange. -From review of the photos online this place looks trendy and like a place I would enjoy dining in. Hard to explain, but it didn't live up to the photos IMO. A likely contributor was the lack of light.

It’s never fun leaving a less than stellar review but there is real potential here! It’s just not up to my preference and standards. Ripping the bandaid off by saying I didn’t enjoy my food and my partner thought his could have been better. I got the poutine and although it is a truly simple dish as is.. it was bland and the fries were way overcooked. The gravy and cheese curds tasted low quality. My partner got the brisket sandwich which came with cheese and sauce. Very light on the cheese and sauce which left him with mostly just a meat and bread sandwich. Not terrible but with a little more thoughtfulness, it could have been great food. Service was a little slow but friendly. Atmosphere was quaint and welcoming.
4/10 overall. I would 100% give a second chance and try ordering something different. Just not the poutine 😅
Their sandwiches are fire! And the lavender vanilla iced tea was perfect. Delicious!!!

Loved this place feels posh and upscale with a great vibe and very reasonably priced. You must try the Garlic n Herb fresh cut fries as they were some of the best I've ever eaten. The burger was great as well. Plus not many places you can get Poutine outside of Canada. Try theirs you're sure to like it especially with the cheese curds. Staff were overly friendly and helpful making the vibe that much more awesome. If you're nearby you must stop in and try the food. Traveling through from Texas I was super glad I found this place.
