Habanero on Ludlow Reviews
Worst customer service from manager Alex my food was made incorrectly. I simply asked for a remake being that I did not eat the food I had the food to bring back I called when I noticed my food was made wrong with no answer being that they closed at 10 and I picked up my food around 9:45 and still had to drive home. THE FOOD IS SO GOOD. And a fair price.
Menu
Habanero, a Mexican restaurant on Ludlow, offers a diverse menu with both hits and misses. While the chicken taco salad and chimichanga receive high praise, the vegetarian burrito disappoints with its lack of variety and cold temperature. However, the salsa is praised for its delightful taste, and the fresh, amazing chips are a highlight. The restaurant also features a taproom and a cozy dining room, making it a popular choice for both dine-in and takeout. Despite some minor parking challenges, Habanero is generally considered a great spot for authentic Mexican fare at reasonable prices.
Recent changes include the removal of the beloved mole sauce from the chimichangas, now replaced with a Colorado red chili sauce, which some find less satisfying. The carnitas chimichanga, in particular, suffers without the mole. Hidden surcharges on receipts have also caused frustration, with unclear explanations from staff. Still, the food remains fresh and delicious, offering wonderful dining experiences at affordable prices. The chips continue to impress, though the loss of mole sauce has left some regulars disappointed. Wheelchair accessibility is good with a ramp, but the absence of mole remains a sore point for many.
