This is a great Sushi house. The sushi is fresh and comes out fast. The bartenders and servers are amazing and very friendly. Lydia was super cool and was really great as my server. Her timing is perfect with drinks and food. The shumai, miso soup, spicy tuna roll, and Cajun roll were awesome. Finish it with a couple of pints of Sapporo and the evening was perfect. Thanks and I’ll be back. Cheers!

Great food and service but very noisy. They need to put music so people won't be as loud.

I have been coming here for years and every time I’ve been I love it so much more! Staff is great and sometimes even remembers my usual because I come so often lol. Fresh fish with great balancing flavors. My only complaint is dinning room set up because the middle seats in the restaurant and very overwhelming when it’s a busy night, still love it tho.

Ichiban Japanese Cuisine is a hidden gem! The food is always fresh and flavorful, with an impressive variety of sushi, sashimi, and traditional Japanese dishes. The presentation is beautiful, and the portions are generous. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a great spot for both casual dining and special occasions.

The service is top-notch—friendly, attentive, and quick. The staff truly cares about providing a great experience. Whether you’re a sushi lover or looking for delicious ramen, Ichiban delivers every time. Highly recommend!

Some of the best sushi in Cincinnati, would highly recommend. Also they’ve implemented new weekly drink happy hours which are so great!

I honestly am so disappointed. I came here as a recommendation for my anniversary and it ended up making my husband physically ill on the drive home.

The sushi was not fresh; the rice was dry and hard as if it had been sitting out a while. The Katsu entree was cold and the onions and eggs were weirdly grey? We tried to send it back after only a bite or two, but we were still charged half price for it. The appetizers were cold (we ordered hot ones). Even the drinks were unpleasant.

The bathroom was also unfathomably gross; human waste and boogers smeared on the walls, as well as holes punched through them. It’s honestly a safety issue.

We don’t usually complain, but this was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had, I don’t recommend dining here.

This has been a date/night out spot for me for a few years now, and I have never had a complaint. The service is always so nice and prompt, and the sushi is PERFECT. I love the JTB roll, edamame and the crab puff. Everything on the menu is delicious and extremely inexpensive. Being open late is a huge plus as well.

Parking: After 9pm the parking in the lot is free but it's usually a little tough to find a spot, especially on weekends

I see so many great reviews which is kind of sad because it makes me wonder if it was an off day, but I had to come here to say that the sushi I got here yesterday was disgusting. One of the three rolls was tolerable which i believe was the Godzilla, one which I believe was the Volcan roll had a lot of stuff on it but just tasted like straight up fish and nothing else (yes, I understand it's sushi but I've never had sushi that tasted like THAT), and the last one was supposed to be a Sunday Morning but it was honestly absolutely VILE.... On my check it said Dynamite Roll instead of Sunday morning so I'm not even sure what the roll really was but it did seem to be deep fried with cream cheese and salmon.
It wasn't worth bringing up because our poor waitress was fighting for her life trying to understand us. She was very sweet and was doing her best but I'd imagine it was just as stressful for her as it was for us.

Perhaps the rest of your food is good and I'm willing to give it a shot eventually since my friends are so obsessed with this place... But my food last night was so bad, I'll not be trying the sushi here again.

Been coming here for years with friends and family. Always delicious and good vegan options. The cocktails are the perfect ending for a late night date. Thank me later. 😊

Solid sushi for the middle of the US. Amazing service. They could reprint the menus to be more readable in lowlight (I have excellent vision), and there is a little bit of maintenance that could be done to improve the overall experience. I will definitely be back though.
