Well this place was PHONOMENAL. The drinks were very good! I had a mocktail as my drink and LOVED it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was not a huge fan of the bread but it was still very good! It did take a little bit for our food to come but that is normal in most fancy restraunuts. I got the Precinct burger. IT WAS THE BEST BURGER OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not sure how they made it but this was not your normal McDonalds big mac. If heaven had a taste it would taste like this burger! They also gave me a basket of fries and a small personal bottle of ketchup! Later, we got both of their hyper realistic cakes. The one shaped like a purse was not the best cake of my life but it was good! But the air force ones... It was so could I cant even describe how good it was! It was the best cake ever! 10/10 will likely return!

Everything was perfect. Great experience.
First, our server, Alec, made the night. So attentive and knowledgeable. Fiancé could not have grapefruit so they made a mocktail without it without us even asking directly. He was awesome!
Steaks - 5/5 - Filet was amazing. She said it was the best she’s ever had. Boneless ribeye was fantastic. Both cooked rare and correctly.
Wine/ Mocktail - 5/5 - Got the by the glass WA Merlot which was fantastic and her mocktail was a lemon, lavender and was great too
Sides - 4/5 - mashed potatoes, green beans, and mac were good but nothing special.
Bread - 4/5 - two breads given were solid with two butters (regular and truffle)
Salad - 1/5 - it was literally like a BLT without bread. Soaked in ranch. Probably would get the Greek next time knowing this
Desert - 5/5 - Cheesecake was fantastic with the slight amount of caramel fruit. The chocolate cupcake with cream cheese icing was great too!
Overall, solid meats, drinks, and dessert. It is probably overpriced for what it is. That being said, a fantastic server led to a wonderful treat of an evening!

I like this place, but I didn’t think it was quite as good as the other locations. In my personal opinion, the food tasted better at the other spots. That said, it’s still a good place, and everyone’s taste is different. Try it for yourself and make your own judgment!

My friend and I made reservations to reconnect after an unfortunate diagnosis. Rylee (manager) helped make this possible, ensuring personalized menus and seating in the area we’d hoped for, in the bar area. We were instantly greeted at the door with warm faces and kind welcomes before being taken to our destination. Our SA greeted us very quickly for water upon being seated and our server Shannon was attentive but not overbearing - she gave just the right amount of love to our table. Our food was all incredibly done, but no surprise there with Donny running the kitchen! I am friends with several staff, all of which made the time to come say hello and warm my heart even further. For our dishes we ordered the arancini, Freddie salads, New York strip for my friend and barrel cut for myself with the featured scallop scampi topper, mashed potatoes, sprouts, a piece of carrot cake for my friend and ricotta donuts for myself, all of which was made to perfection. Our experience was a 10/10, and I highly recommend! Thank you to everyone who made this a special experience for us.

We arrived 16 minutes early for reservations secured more than two months in advance. We were the first guests to check in.
Shortly after, several other parties arrived — roughly 10 people in total. At exactly 4:00 p.m., when the doors opened, seating began.
And every single party that arrived after us was seated before us.
My 83-year-old mother and I sat there and watched it happen.
No explanation. No update. No eye contact. The host and hostess deliberately avoided acknowledging us while ushering others in ahead of us. We were not forgotten — we were overlooked.
Only when I finally spoke up and asked why we were the first to arrive but the last to be seated did the host respond casually, “Things got jumbled up.”
There is nothing to “jumble” when you are opening for the evening and seating guests in the order they arrived. We were first. It was that simple.
We were also the only African American guests waiting at the time. I did not raise that point in the moment. I shouldn’t have to. But when you watch every other party walk past you while you and your elderly mother remain seated and ignored, the question naturally arises.
The manager did apologize and offered complimentary champagne (which we declined), along with appetizers and dessert. The steaks were excellent. Our waitress was professional and attentive.
But understand this: compensation does not erase conduct.
Fine dining is not proven by a well-cooked steak. It is proven in the first five minutes — in how guests are greeted, acknowledged, and respected. If your very first guests of the evening can be disregarded without so much as eye contact, that is not a minor oversight. That is a failure of hospitality.
The Precinct advertises itself as top-tier. Top-tier establishments do not allow an 83-year-old woman to sit unnoticed while others are prioritized ahead of her.
My mother wanted the fine dining experience. Instead, her evening began with being made to feel invisible.
That is unacceptable.

Just as amazing as we expected. My husband surprised me with Valentine reservations. We frequently dine at Jeff Ruby's in Nashville, Lexington and Louisville. The Precinct had been on our bucket list and did not disappoint! Elegance from the moment you walk in. Attentive staff and delicious food! Our group of 4 had seabass, steak burrow, and chicken piccata. All were delicious. Cranberry mule was amazing, too!

Recently went to the Precinct with a group of friends. Staff was very welcoming, food was delicious, & the atmosphere was very intimate.
Our service was excellent, Chad knocked it out of the park. Knowledgeable, accommodating; he added to our night. Would highly recommend.

Update 2/3/2026 related to restaurant’s reply:
As requested called multiple times and was told Brandon was busy but would return my call. Never received a call. Make your own assessment as to their motives for reply below. Waste of my time.
Original Review:
Having eaten at other Jeff Ruby’s, I expected great food and service… as well as a large bill at the end. All of which were met.
My only complaint based upon other fine dining experiences is that, for the $ being spent ($200+ per person for group of 5 before tip with only one bottle of wine and 2 non-top-shelf whiskeys) and overall atmosphere/ vibe, you should get a “generous pour” when being charged 75% of that bottle’s MSRP for a single (which barely seemed to be a full ounce). Really felt cheap / gouged (which says a lot given I didn’t mind spending over $100 for many of the entrees we ordered).
