Our server was great. He made the experience fabulous. It was my wife's birthday celebration snd we could not have had a better experience. Absolutely great as always
The Precinct is outstanding experience whether you live in the Cincinnati area or are just visiting.
Excellent as usual. Time to move to the 21st century, are tuxedos really necessary? Faux pas in serving parsley as garnish with meat. Parsley with seafood and watercress with meat. I mean we may not look like it but we do know formal presentation. Waitstaff and Busboy great. Runners did a good job timing food delivery.
The best steak in Cincinnati, hands down. Never needs any extras. Pricilla and Peyton our wait staff were fantastic, never had a plate sitting empty for long, never had an empty water glass. Went for the filet and lobster special this month, it never disappoints. Love that they include a Freddie salad, mashed potatoes, and asparagus with the deal. Appreciated them still allowing us to dine when we arrived late due to traffic delays.
Our service was incredible. Alex was amazing; he was very knowledgeable about the menu and provided the epitome of fine dining service. The entrees, salads, and sides were delicious. I had the filet mignon and my husband had the cowboy ribeye; they even threw in a free cupcake for my husbands birthday. We ordered an additional dessert, the skillet cookie, which was amazing as well. The valet service was great too!
Tucker our server took great care of us along with his partner. Food was excellent. The Preceint is a cool old building.
We decided to do a taste test between the Japanese and Australian wagyu steaks. Our server split the steaks before she brought them to the table and knew which was on our plates so it was a blind test. Not only was it fun but both steaks were amazing. There is a distinct difference between the two. We both picked the same steak as our favorite. I won't spoil it by telling you which one we picked in case you do your own tasting. As always at the Precinct, it was wonderful from the moment we walked in the door until we got in the car to drive home.
i don't know if the service was the culprit or the kitchen, it took more time than usual to get food but considering everything that waitress was solely responsible for went well i'd suggest it was the kitchen...the steak on the salad wasn't not, it was room temperature...even if under a heat lamp it should have been hotter...as i'v said repeatedly the experience here has been excellent over many years, i hope this a fluke...
This is not my second time dying at this establishment. And both times have been great! Decided to do the Valet and the gentleman that assisted was super nice and personable. Upon entering in we were greeted by the hostess ladies and they were super nice we got sat at our table in a timely manner. When we got brought to the table though it kind of threw me off because I did call a few days in advance to make sure that I would be seated at a booth. They were able to go ahead and switch us over to another booth seating area that was perfect. Our server was super kind, and I wish I could remember his name. I just know that his birthday is April 12th lol. They were doing their deal situation where you get a lobster tail, a 6 ounce steak, a choice of a salad, garlic, mashed potatoes or a baked potato, and asparagus. I had the same exact thing last year and I didn't know that they were going to be doing it again so I was super happy that they were because you definitely get a good deal for just $76. I also got the Britney spritz, I actually had two of them because they were so good! Overall my experience here was amazing, definitely will be coming back more often.
Team Ethan's Immaculate service of one of the best steaks I've ever had in an ambience of such class make this one of the best and one of my favorite steakhouse experiences ever. Oysters Roc. Rocks! Cowboy steak for me Wagyu for her finish with crème brûlée and an espresso. Magnificent!

A Ruby's dinner is always an experience! Given the prices, we usually only do it once or twice a year and make it a special occasion, dressing up no matter the season and partaking in all the courses and enjoying all the place has to offer. Our waiter's leg was bothering him so he was a little less attentive than our usual experience - but it was outstanding all around regardless. Ruby's has some of the best steaks around and while the sides might sound ordinary by name, they are anything but! Desserts are amazing too. I tried the cranberry vanilla ice cream and it was fantastic!
Our party ordered 3 ribeye and one fillet. All four steaks were over-salted. I like salt, but i could not even finish it. I would have said something, but all 4 were hard to eat. This means that high saltiness is the style. I don't think I'd come back. On the other hand hand, the butter cake was excellent.
Ethan was outstanding. Personable, attention to detail, thoughtful, kind. It's always a good experience at any jeff Ruby's we go to but we personally like to rate and so far this is top
Delicious food! Exceptional service. Would like to dine in the lower lever next time instead of the bar. It may have been because we are not regular patrons. Bar is very noisy!
Dined here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I'll start by saying food was very good and steaks were cooked to order! We were seated in area surrounded by mirrors. It was distracting to be looking at others and being looked at. Not sure if it was typical, but conversations in adjoining area were super loud and could hear easily what they were discussing. Maybe this was by design? Unfortunately my cocktail tasted odd. I stirred it well thinking it was just not mixed. Server graciously took it back to bar. Upon his return he told me bartender did not put the alcohol in it?? Overall service seemed stretched...so maybe understaffed a bit? All staff were very kind though
