Slow service that wasn't terribly attentive (took 25 minutes for our server to even bring a menu and the pace continued in a way that didn't feel like this was planned, but otherwise good experience.

Overall great food and vibe! My cousin wasn't as excited about his burger that he ordered, and as a courtesy they comped us desserts which was quite unexpected and nice. Overall great visit!

We had a wonderful time. The service, food and atmosphere were incredible. No other restaurant in the city compares.

Went with a party of 6 for the 6 oz filet/5 oz lobster tail special. That was ok. However, I also ordered 8 oysters on the half shell which were absolutely not fresh. Extremely fishy. Should have sent them back as almost inedible but thought that would affect the good time others at my table were having. Paid $189.27 before tip and not sure I will order the oysters again. Ordered 8 of the large size oysters but only ate 4 and hid the remaining uneaten ones under the ice.

Ordered the Limited Time feature, filet & lobster tail with asparagus, mashed potatoes, salad. Started with wagyu meatball, oh my word! Alex was our waiter and a delight.

Absolutely outstanding! The food is expected to be top notch, but it's the service and attention to details that make Ruby's above the rest! Thank you for such a special time celebrating a 13th birthday - we couldn't have asked for anything any better!

We had dinner at the downtown location this evening to celebrate my son’s graduation from the military, and leaving to report to his first assignment. From the time we were seated, to the time we left, several staff members came over to shake his hand and thank him for his service, even the General Manager. We always receive exceptional care from any Jeff Ruby’s establishment, but are so grateful to our amazing server Peter along with all of the other staff who took the time to make our family feel so special. We will support this business until the end of time! Thank you for being such a wonderful place to visit!

Started out great sat down was my fiance birthday. We had reservations took order with drinks and appetizers. We received that with timely manner.Once we ordered food we waited 1 hour 45 minutes before food came.I we both ordered the ribeye med .Was the worse steak i ever had. Both of are steaks was bloody very rare .Had so much fat i couldn’t believe it.I know ribeye steak has fat but not like that. Then manager came to table and took the steak off the bill.He apologized and said table before us had 18 people. So take it out on my table. We had reservations I’m sure that table did also. They should of be staffed to handle it.The bill was over 300 dollars he took just the steaks off.He should of taken care of the entire bill.I will never go back

The ambiance in the bar area is the reason to go to Jeff Ruby’s. It’s beautiful, particularly in the winter months. For us, having Cole Thompson as part of the team caring for us was an even bigger highlight. Cole is one of the kindest and most skilled servers we have had in Cincinnati. He has an instinct for exactly when and how to serve the table so as not to interrupt the meal. He takes quiet initiative to make sure everything at the table is as it should be. He is relatively new, and his hiring tells me new managers, like Daniel, are steering the restaurant in the right direction. Friends, I have been avoiding Ruby’s ever since I took my out-of-town relatives there in 2024, and was completely embarrassed by the obsequious service we received. It was truly awful. It was cringe. The server enquired of, and kept calling my guests by, their first names. All the server had to do was see the looks on their faces and how they recoiled every time the server approached the table to see this was not appreciated. The meal was all about them, the servers. Their constant dialogue about themselves was disturbing and jarring. It was obvious to me that this patter was being taught. These servers were being formally trained to run the table as if it were dinner theatre. Gruesome. Therefore, I made this week’s reservation with some trepidation. However, having Cole Thompson serve us changed all of that. We will be back again this month. Foodwise, the Freddie Salad is delicious. The king crab legs and jumbo prawn cocktail are exactly as they should be. I would appreciate a few simply prepared green vegetable offerings to pair with the steak. And for the menu items at Ruby’s, the more simply prepared are the best. (By the way, “rare” really does mean rare for steaks at Ruby’s! All other steakhouses in the area serve medium rare when rare is ordered.) I think Ruby’s needs to bring in a young, innovative but classically trained chef to address how meals are plated and served, and to tweak the menu a bit. I think they need more flair and care at this price point. The organization showed this kind of intelligence when creating the new space, which feels fresh while still delivering the coziness imparted by tradition. The same constructive approach to the food would be intelligent.

What an amazing experience. The food was amazing. Very pricey but everyone should splurge once. The staff and management were extremely accommodating. The restaurant interior was very beautiful. My wife and I had celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. For 2 steak dinners and drinks, we shelled out $500.00 but it was all worth it.

Everything about Jeff Ruby's is first class, from the moment you walk in to the attention you receive at check in. We were promptly seated, and our server Nikki welcomed us immediately and provided amazing service throughout our dining experience. Best steakhouse in America.
