Nice place for hibachi & sushi. The staff are friendly and the cook put on a great show at the grill.

Quality's slipping here. The food sub par, and our chef needs cooking lessons!

This was the first time we were at Kabuto, we always want to Sakura and since that closed down, we thought we come to Colerain! Everything was delicious, cheaper than Sakura and you got way more food!
Vegetarian options: I really didn’t look however I know you can get just vegetables if you’d like or noodles and vegetables
Parking: Plenty of parking

This has been a family favorite for years. Small but so good. You can have the hibachi grill experience with the show as they skillfully prepare the food in front of you, or you can sit in the quiet dining room and order the same food brought from the kitchen. They have sushi and much more! Worth the trip!

This is our go-to Japanese hibachi steakhouse. The interior, while a bit dated and dim, creates a fun and lively atmosphere. The decor strikes a good balance of Japanese elements without feeling overdone. The tall, south-facing windows are covered with traditional Japanese gridded white, semi-translucent screens, adding to the ambiance. The seating surrounds the grill, where chefs cook to your preference while entertaining with a fun, well-rehearsed show. The more you engage with them, the better the experience.
If your group has fewer than six people, you'll likely be seated with strangers, which adds to the communal experience. Expect to wait in the lobby or bar if your entire party hasn’t arrived, as they won’t seat you until everyone is present. Birthday celebrations are a big deal here, with drumming and off-key renditions of "Happy Birthday" happening regularly. For just $2, you can add cheesecake with a candle and a birthday serenade.
Prices vary depending on your order. While lobster or filet mignon combinations can get pricey, opting for a single protein like chicken or steak is more affordable. On average, we spend about $50 per person, including drinks. Overall, it’s a fun dining experience with a pleasant atmosphere that won’t break the bank.

Portions are small. You get a lot of rice but little veggies and meat. I didn't like how everything got covered in ginger. The steak should be just steak like it's meant to be. Was a fun experience but won't be back.

Restaurantji Recommends
The atmosphere at this restaurant is great, and the Hibachi Chef was outstanding! However, I do think the menu could use some improvements. It lacks some basic but important details, such as how many rolls come in an order, which items are spicy, the portion sizes, and what ingredients are included in the Vegetable Hibachi. This information would be helpful, especially for people like me who are more particular about their food, and it would prevent us from holding up the table.
Additionally, the menu should clearly state that the cooked vegetable appetizer includes rice, corn, and celery. I expected only vegetables, so it was disappointing to receive something different. Lastly, the waiter could improve his timing; checking in every two minutes felt a bit overwhelming and made me feel rushed when I was still deciding what to order.
