My girlfriend and I recently relocated from Northern California where it is foodie heaven. So far, it is the closest experience to California cuisine. The staff, ambience and quality of the food are exceptional. A little extra shout out to our server, Danielle. She is awesome.

Carded one person at our table who had their real ID, Then the manager came over and bent the ID in half and asking for her address. Then later the general manager came over and instead of apologizing she was basically bullying us into tipping and not leaving bad reviews. The staff continued to stare at us the whole time we were eating. Definitely get take out

The best vegetable roll I've ever had! I don't like seaweed and they have a great soy wrap option. The gyoza and other hot dishes were great too, highly recommended if you like Japanese food.

I have been there a more than a few times. Today in a hail storm I decided to order carry out. (I was desperate don't judge) Not a step was missed in the order, it was as ordered and as beautiful on a styrofoam container can be. The staff is always very nice and can help with the large menu of delightful tasty..sorry its hard to eat and type.. where was I oh, you have to try it. Watch out for peak times, check out the website It will help you along if you need reservations, their hours are great open everyday. oh and the inside is very spacey so not elbowing other folks. last thing, they have a VERY NICE bar!

Was recommended this place from our airbnb host. There's a big banner outside that says "1/2 price sushi" and that drew us in! Just a few steps away from the Findlay market and our airbnb! Lots of seating, even though it seemed busy, we were seated pretty quickly. Their cocktail menu changes around so we made sure we tried them. I got the regular espresso martini (they have a white chocolate matcha and another one I don't remember) and my boyfriend tried the "white on rice" which was a soju cocktail with yuzu and sprite. Both were very good! The espresso martini was sweet but still strong! We ordered the Seoul wings, and kimchi soup to start and were AMAZED by how delicious they both were. Probably the best Korean wings we've ever had; flavor-wise and crunch-wise. The perfect crispiness, and sticky, sweet sauce! The kimchi soup was not too overwhelming and was so good for the cold day Saturday was. For sushi, my boyfriend got the "Big Baller roll" and I got the "Thai-tanic" and the "Cha Cha Roll". They were good, nothing too special that pops out but def recommend getting sushi when you come since it's 1/2 price! We spent about $80 plus tip :)

The food was great! They have a wide selection to choose from, and it all come out in order, and nothing was incorrect. The service was a little slow, and we were left with excess dishes and low drinks at times when it wasn't very busy. Would definitely recommend and would visit again!

Greatly enjoyed our dinner at Kanji on Friday night. We didn't have to wait for a table, but would make a reservation if more than four people. Everyone was super friendly and had great service. We definitely over ordered. The tempura was fried perfectly, super flavorful shrimp. Enjoyed the dipping sauce it came with. Sushi was delightful. Would order every roll again, and was hard to narrow down the order. Loved the bibimbap and it was awesome leftover. All the kimchi it came with was delicious. Vibes were high. Clean place. Couple of tvs over the bar. Draft beer was $2 off which is a great deal on a Friday.

Always have a solid experience at Kanji. My most recent visit was 3:30PM on a Saturday and there were more people inside than I expected, but was happy to see that there were patrons here supporting the business! The menu is marked with food allergens which is super helpful, and they have Gluten Free Soy Sauce if you need to ask for it. Our server was super helpful in confirming things allergens in the food which was greatly appreciated! We opted for the Spicy Tuna and Spicy Salmon rolls as they were both Gluten Free. We started with Edamame, that without the Chili sauce is also gluten free. The staff did a great job in spacing our food items and making sure everything came out fresh. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because the sushi rolls were falling a part a little bit, and the rice was not as sticky as I would have expected, but everything had great flavor and our service experience was great.

Great spot if you like sushi and rolls. They have half price sushi/roll deals but their rolls are also quite small in size. I have tried other dishes in the past and they were all decently nice.
