Scotty is the best bartender here. I come often! Holly is a very unpleasant person tho. I Try to avoid when she works.
It's a neighborhood bar. Exactly what you'd expect. They do need better beer.
If you ever find yourself yearning for an offbeat dining experience, look no further than the unassuming, yet surprisingly charming hole-in-the-wall bar known as The Dugout Tavern. Despite its modest exterior and minimalistic decor, this place offers an unexpectedly delightful culinary adventure that will leave you questioning the true meaning of hidden gems.
Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the establishment’s authenticity. The Dugout Tavern doesn’t concern itself with flashy gimmicks or pretentious ambiance; instead, it embraces a straightforward, unpolished charm that only the truly discerning can appreciate. It’s a refreshing deviation from the overly curated dining experiences that have become all too common.
Let’s talk about the wings. Yes, they took a rather astonishing 27 minutes to arrive at my table, which initially seemed like an eternity in a world accustomed to instant gratification. However, the moment I bit into one of those perfectly succulent morsels, all was forgiven. The wings were nothing short of spectacular—deliciously seasoned, flawlessly cooked, and worth every second of the wait. If patience is a virtue, then the reward here is undeniably sublime.
The pretzel, on the other hand, was a different story. It was, quite frankly, so-so. A bit too doughy, lacking the satisfying chewiness one expects from a top-tier pretzel. It wasn’t bad, per se, just underwhelming in comparison to the standout wings. But in a place like The Dugout Tavern, one learns to appreciate the highs without dwelling too much on the lows.
As if the culinary delights weren’t enough, the entertainment on offer was nothing short of epic. Imagine my surprise and delight to find that instead of the predictable Olympic coverage, ESPN 3 was broadcasting college baseball. The choice of sport was a stroke of genius, catering perfectly to the bar’s clientele and adding to the overall experience. Watching the intense game play out while savoring those amazing wings was an unexpected pleasure that added a unique twist to the evening.
In summary, The Dugout Tavern is a place that defies conventional expectations. It’s not trying to be trendy or sophisticated; it simply excels at being authentically itself. The service, while leisurely, reflects a confidence in the quality of the food, particularly those unforgettable wings. And though the pretzel may not impress, the overall experience is elevated by the thoughtfully chosen entertainment and the bar’s genuine, unpretentious atmosphere. For those who appreciate the charm of an authentic, no-frills dining experience, The Dugout Tavern is a five-star find. Just be prepared to wait a bit for those wings—but trust me, they’re worth it.

Miranda, Emily and Scotty. Great Bartenders always friendly and fast.
gettin drunk... wtf else!!
For the most part this bar is not the worst but it’s very bad. Miranda and Scotty are some of the best bartenders I’ve ever seen. The real problem is most regular patrons…the ownership doesn’t think they are a problem. There are people claiming they are drug dealers coming up to you trying to sell you drugs as well as other scum and villany. Also people smoke weed inside and right outside of the establishment. Most people that go here are regulars and they BULLY AND HARASS non regulars out. Beware. Pick another bar to go to.
