We had a lovely dinner after cocktails and we shared a bottle of wine. We had the steak special and the beef wellington after escargots. Chef Patrick Building on his new winter menu.

The food itself was okay (not my favorite but at least good quality ingredients) and the service was good but it was WAY overpriced. $14 for a very small cocktail that wasn't that great, over $40 for a small scallop dish that was overly sweet, and $16 to add short ribs to the already $23 penne noodles which were unremarkable. Overall, I left feeling like I wasted my money.

Lobster bisque lacked flavor, too much of the Cantilly cream. Beef Wellington appetizer was a bit tough. Escargot was excellent.

Beautiful eve to sit outside for dinner. Food was really tasty . Server missed a few things I.e. Short Rib on Mac n Cheese .. brought new plate out with really small piece of short rib; tasted great but pricey for the additional charge . Love the place.

Richard

Excellent well prepared and presented entrees as well as first courses. Knowledgeable and helpful staff.

Always a great experience! This time we had escargots, salmon, and an arctic char special. We were able to sit on the patio on a beautiful night and the service was impeccable. We like to hit Bar A Boeuf every time we visit Cincinnati!

Bar a Boeuf has consistently been my go-to restaurant for a guaranteed great meal. I have sung the praises of Bar from the very start, and sent many people to dine there. My last meal was suprisingly bad. They didn't have 3 of the items on the menu (chicken, salmon, basics), and their subsitutions were so poorly executed and lacked flavor and creativity. I wrote the restaurant an email direclty because I wanted them to know that this was out of the norm (but more the norm since the loss of J-R). Apparently their highly experienced chef had just left, and I can understand a growing pain. However, They never contacted me back. So, sadly untless we hear there are big changes, this will probably be our last meal at Bar. We can't afford average meals at $200 each.

We love this little gem of a neighborhood restaurant. It can be hit and miss at times when it comes to the food, and they really need to change up the menu!

Excellent French cuisine in Cincinnati! I took my son because he loves beef tartare and he was not disappointed. I ordered the halibut special and the fish was very fresh and the sauce amazing. You can't beat the service here.

Charlie gave us outstanding service. He explained all specials and answered our questions. He was always there when we needed anything but gave us space to enjoy ourselves.

Le Bar is one of the most delicious restaurants in Cincinnati. It retains the French flavors and essence of an amazing meal. We eat here often and bring guests who are always impressed and leave with a smile. Thank you for such a fine restaurant. We thoroughly enjoy it.
