Another delightful evening with the family of Jean-Robert. We were two couples celebrating 122 years of wonderful marriage. The rose cremant was an excellent start. The Mussels, foie gras, sea Breem, and fillet of beef were each outstanding. Cincinnati is so fortunate that the excellent food and service of Jean-Robert is still available here.

Enjoyed Le Bar A Boeuf. My wife and I shared the Wellington and it was great. Started with the beef and tuna tartare. It was good, but the flavors could have jumped a little more. I had the French onion soup, the broth was on point and very flavorful. The onions were a little thick for me, but it had good flavor. Overall it was a little underperforming for what I was hoping for in the dish. The Wellington was a shared dish and prepared very well. The pastry was top notch, very beautiful and flavorful. The mushrooms were not as finally chopped as I like and it didn’t have prosciutto which I missed. Overall we really enjoyed the Wellington and would order again. The view is also outstanding. We had a great view of the river and watched a storm blow thru to the south. Definitely enjoyed our night and the meal!

This has to be one of the most disappointing meals I have ever had in my life I would of had a better meal at at a casual dining restaurant The steak was tough and over cooked Venison was way over cooked and cold French Restaurant runs out of duck breast French onion soup and special Mac and cheese At 8:30 on a Saturday really What a Joke This was a one and done we will never return No manager present that we saw Chef come on man !!! The server had to fend for himself

I wanted to have a lovely dinner but the waiter was sight challenged. Having to return to the table twice to check the bottle of wine we ordered, not bringing the correct bottle of wine and then filling everyone but my glass after stepping on my foot. Dinner arrived and the food was cold to tepid. The waiter asked if I wanted a rare steak warmed up which is impossible. I asked to have the steak boxed and when I got home the soggy fries were also included. The steak was great the next day on a cold salad. Not the best of nights for this restaurant.

What an amazing experience! It's been a while since we've dined with you, so we appreciated the menu items from Maisonette and Table, as well as the retooled menu. Our server Ann was such a pro and absolutely unflappable. We look forward to dining at Bar A Boeuf again soon.

Food was great, french classics but not over stuffy like many classic places are. Chef was nice, saw him walking in the dining room making sure everything was good just like Chef De-Clavel probably would have. Also looks like he decorated the place himself, for the most part is wonderful. Great view off the back and the colorful bull is welcoming. The Creme Caramel was delicious.

For special occasions or for any occasion, consistently high quality of food and service. One visit and you will look forward to the next visit. Seafood was cooked to perfection, and the sauces were complementary genius.

The hostess, MaryLou is warm and friendly. Server, Ann is a delight. The rest of the staff was ready to engage with the tables they served. The view on a summer evening would be terrific. The food was excellent along with the presentation. A very enjoyable evening.

Le Bar A Boeuf is our favorite restaurant. Menu options like the Lobster Dinner honor founder Jean Robert de Cavel - executed perfectly! The staff, including Mary Lou, are attentive and friendly. We are fortunate to have this special bistro in Cincinnati!

There is no where else in Cincinnati to get quality French food for dinner than here. Everything tasted wonderful. Limited staff so be patient. French dining is supposed to be leisurely. Tell them if you need to be somewhere after dinner. The staff is well trained and very friendly. I have been here several times and have never been disappointed.

Marylou runs this wonderful restaurant so that everyone who enters feels welcome! The food is excellent and the staff is very efficient. She moves around the floor speaking with everyone and insuring they feel comfortable. The French cafe look and the ambience are just great. The entire evening made for a great night out!!
