We had dinner last night with friends before the Ricky Skaggs Christmas Show. Everything was fantastic. The drinks were perfectly made and presented. The appetizers and sides all delicious and cooked perfectly. The steaks and salmon were some of the best we have ever had. Our new favorite upscale steakhouse!

We have been to Losanti several times over the last two or three years, but this is my first review. Losanti is our go to special occasions restaurant.

The bad:
-Our waiter smelled like smoke. I think during our meal he must have smoked again because he smelled even stronger of smoke about halfway through our meal. This was a black mark on our experience, for sure, and one we likely won't forget. Seemed very unprofessional.

The Okay:
-The focaccia appetizer was decent. The texture was spongier than I remembered. We actually prefer the version we can buy at Trader Joe's for $5.
-The bolognese was okay. My wife said it was a 6 or 7 as opposed to Crown Republic, which is a consistent 10. At Crown Republic they put a ricotta cream on the bolognese too and also use pappardelle. Is a little odd this dish is better at a cheaper restaurant.

The great:
-The meatball appetizer is epic. With each bite I closed my eyes to savor and really focus on what I was tasting. I have only done this with a few dishes in my life. The toasted bread, while nice for the presentation, tastes really terrible.
-The spaghetti and sauce were exquisite. I expected this to be an afterthought with my chicken parmesan, but it stole the show.
-The chicken parmesan was the best version I have had anywhere, but my gosh that spaghetti.
-The Mexican street corn side dish was also great.
-The butter cake is one of the best desserts I have had. This one truly outshines its apple cake version 1st cousin at Crown Republic.

Atmosphere is very good. Not too loud, but not too quiet. The dark lighting definitely sets the mood for a great meal. We love Losanti and recommend to many people, who at this price point, seem to only know Jeff Ruby restaurants. What a shame.

The kale ceasar salad and the burrata and stone fruit appetizers are truly unique and worth trying. The buttercake dessert is a must try at least once.

Low Key

Enjoyed an amazing low lit dinner celebration. We were greeted & seated quickly in The Library area that was pretty full of guests. It was a small area with about 15 guests so it felt a bit loud upon our arrival, but eventually simmered down as larger parties left. Our server Sara was perfect, knowledgeable on steak cuts, friendly with a very welcoming soirit & offered us great drink & starter suggestions as it was our 1st time dinning. We chose the Last word & Honeysuckle for drinks. Both well made, STRONG but not overbearing.

The Start: A crab cake w/ green beans(w/ peanuts) & a delicious sauce was very good after breaking through the crust. I do tend to take my crab cake less crunchy & fried. But it didn't take much away from the taste, it wad still good. For entrees we had the Salmon dish & a 10oz NY Strip(Medium) w blue cheese butter. Both were indescribably delicious in taste. I do feel my steak wasn't as tender as expected but it definitely tasted as it should. My wife enjoyed her salmon, but wished it was a bit bigger in portion size.

The sides: *Chef's Kiss*
We ordered brussel sprouts, elote corn & the truffle mac and cheese. My goodness every was good! Our the Mac was creamy, cheesy with a cheese crust on top. The elote corn w/ the lime & charred lemon juice was excellent. Those brussl sprouts were our absolute favorite side. Crispy veggies, salty pancetta peices & this outstanding balsamic glaze.. We ended the night with a slice of the butter cake & were blown away. Rich, buttery cake with a sweet icing crust. Topped with salted caramel galato. This was 200.00 well spent & I'm looking forward to returning and trying the pasta dishes.

Loved the food, we ordered steak and frites, mussels and crab cakes. The steak was cooked right on point and very tasty, we also had the broccolini as the side and it was amazing!. Crab cakes were my least favorite but still good!

Our waiter Vinnie was amazing, as was the food. I was a bit disappointed with the enclosed outdoor seating...felt less classy. And Losanti could really use a greater variety of wines to choose from....way too expensive. But a wonderful dinner.

We wanted to try this place and found an opening on a Sunday night. The only choices for seating on Open Table were hightops or outside. Since it was late autumn, I chose the hightop, and hoped that we could change it for a regular table at the restaurant. We did, however, the table was in the bar and it was noisy. Our salad course (little gem) was very good but there was more spring mix than little gem lettuce. My wife's mussels were delicious, however, my steak was served almost cold and the piece was thin. I asked for Au Poise sauce and they brought something but it didn't have a peppercorn in it! Dessert was great with the butter pie, served warm and tasty. Our server was attentive, until the end, where we waited 10-15 minutes for her to clear the dessert plates. So, overall, I'd call our experience mixed.

An Exemplary Culinary Journey

From the moment we stepped in, Corey’s masterful service transformed an already exceptional evening into something unforgettable. Every dish arrived as a testament to precision: the steak—seared to a flawless blue-rare with a caramelized crust yielding to buttery-soft interior—was accompanied by artful plating that elevated the meal to edible art. Flavors were layered and intentional, never overshadowing the quality of the ingredients. Save room for the butter cake: a revelation of molten richness and delicate crumb that alone justifies a return visit. This isn’t just dinner—it’s a masterclass in luxury hospitality.

The food and service were great but we were seared right by the front door- which was very crowded and loud. Asked for a different table and explained I made the reservation several weeks ago and I am a frequent customer but the hostess said there was nothing she could do- very disappointing as we had guests from Toronto. Once seated, the food and service were as good as usual.

Corey made our entire night amazing! So incredibly kind, caring, and funny and carries so much knowledge around not only the food menu, but the drink menu as well. Truly someone who loves his job. We ordered the Bone Marrow, Ribeye steaks, Mashed Potatoes, and Brussel Sprouts with a Sage Gimlet and Traditional Old Fashioned to drink. The food was wonderful, everything cooked perfectly. The drinks were great as well, thanks to Corey’s suggestion of the Sage Gimlet. And of course we finished our meal with the butter cake! It is a must have when visiting. We look forward to visiting Losanti again!

Steaks were delicious. Drinks were super yummy. However, the mac n cheese was an oily, bland mess. The focaccia was different but good. We got to taste some of the mash potatoes with the au poivre style steak and those were amazing. Overall a good experience.
