Great Restaurant. Went a week ago with friends and liked it so much we returned with our son and his wife for dinner.
I hadn't been to Losanti for quite a while. It was as wonderful as I remembered. I reserved an outside table, but it was hotter than expected, so they accommodated us indoors. The steaks are always perfection. And the drinks are so well done! We always have more than we intend:)
Amazing cocktails and food!! The focaccia, meatball and wedge salad, broccolini, mac and cheesy and steaks were prepared well. Loved the atmosphere! Can't wait to go again !!
This is a must-try! I love the intimate atmosphere and the staff wanting you to enjoy your experience and not rushing you at all. Shout out to our server, Matt! the food is of course, amazing. Although labeled a steak house, the salmon and chicken parm were both fantastic. We couldn’t even get pics bc of how good it was. 10/10!
Service was attentive and friendly. Everything we ordered was delicious. All sides are large enough to share and we were happily surprised that the salad came pre-split into two servings. I didn't think to ask for no salt on our steaks (we're on Sodium-restricted diets) even though our waiter had asked about allergies and restrictions before we ordered. So, the steak surprised me. Wife's rib-eye was perfectly cooked and tender. My strip steak was perfectly cooked medium-rare yet still a bit tougher than I expected. Charred Onion Mashed potatoes were light and moist, grilled asparagus had something like a pico-de-gallo on it and the white bean stew was fabulous. If we hadn't had all the other stuff, we could have made a meal just out of a double serving of the bean stew. We had mussels as an appetizer -- the sauce they came in made the dish unique. We used all our toast points and a spoon to finish off that sauce.
I visited after a recommendation and made the drive from Lexington for my birthday dinner. Since I was dining solo, I opted for a bar seat overlooking the street, which made for a pleasant setting. Overall the meal was both quite enjoyable and the equally disappointing leaving me unsure of any intent to revisit.
Memorable:
1. The Manager – Exceptionally attentive and professional. She stepped in seamlessly when an issue with my steak arose (more on that below), and her warmth and attentiveness made a real difference. Our brief conversations added a welcome personal touch to the evening.
2. Kale Caesar Salad – Perfectly dressed and incredibly flavorful. Best bite of the evening.
3. Gnocchi – Homemade and served in a creamy truffle sauce. I requested no sage (not a personal favorite)- though it was included anyway the dish was balanced and delicious.
Misses:
1. Service Tone – While my server was generally attentive though not invested. He stopped by my window seat often enough though our interactions felt rushed and I became frustrated with the details that seemed to go unheard or unnoticed.
2. Drink Refill – My drink was never refilled throughout the meal. I ended up sipping melted ice.
3. Steak Saga – The steak was why I chose this restaurant. I ordered a medium-rare ribeye but received (what looked like) a well-done New York strip. It was grisly to slice into and very hard to see any pink. While the server seemed genuinely surprised/confused when I brought this to his attention, the manager quickly stepped in and graciously offered to replace it. She stated that all that mattered was my satisfaction which I genuinely appreciated. The new steak was a medium ribeye which was generally good. At this point I had eaten my pasta and was mostly full- when I asked to take the steak home, none of the accompanying sauces (which I had paid for and barely touched) were included in the box.
4. Dessert – To make up for the steak mishap, a complimentary butter cake was kindly offered. I was genuinely excited though took most of it home due to being full. (I love butter cakes and I would definitely recommend this one to any guest!) Unfortunately, the ice cream I had pushed to the side was packaged in the same container, which continued to melt and soaked into the cake. By the time I got to Lexington and was ready for a midnight snack - it was soggy and unappetizing.
The meal had good moments which were equally countered with some frustrations- my check came to $115 before tip and the experience just didn’t add up to that.
Food was adequate— have to say that nothing was outstanding or memorable for a return. Pace of service was slow and erratic. We were told to order all food at once so it could be “paced.” Pacing was poor... We eat out at nice restaurants with regularity and are discerning — I wanted to love Losanti... growing weary of the proliferation of restaurant groups that are not executing at the highest level particularly at the price point.
Our waiter was accommodating and the food was great. The place was slightly cramped and loud, but everything else was fantastic. Steaks were cooked perfectly with a bit of char.
Steak was whatever, asked for medium and got medium well. Mac and cheese was mid. Slow service.
Really lovely atmosphere, greeted warmly and seated for reservation immediately. Server was prompt (and it was busy!) the outdoor dining area is just wonderful. Portions are more than adequate, a tad salty for my taste, and salad overdressed. Meatball app rich and yummy, sauce nice and light to counteract the big and perfectly seasoned meatballs. Shrimp app was wonderful! Not overcooked! Steaks were just ok, but it was busy.

Outstanding service and great food. I would highly recommend this place. Cocktails and desserts are also very good!
Chris was amazing, to say the least. I would recommend him every time. Amazing service, food, and atmosphere. 10/10, go to Chris.
Food was very good and server was very friendly but took a long time to get our food. Second time been there and same experience last time - although very busy both times since FCC game. She offered us a free dessert but rather had something off bill since we aren’t dessert people. Fun location and great atmosphere. They gave us a middle, small table when others were available since came in late night. I would go again.
We ate there in late April and were able to sit outside. Our server, Russell, and the rest of staff were excellent, food was delicious, and the overall experience was top shelf.
Service was great, very attentive to our needs and provided excellent recommendations. Cocktail menu was diverse and delicious. Burrata was very tasty. Steaks come with a lot of options for accoutrements. Dessert menu was sub-par, but we were full by then anyway.
