I should have took a photo of the food but it was too good to interrupt. Looking forward to a return visit. This place has a cool atmosphere.

If you are looking for a spot with pretty solid baked goods, this is the place for you. Mainwood Pastry, located in Findlay Market has good cookies, danishes, and croissants. I ordered the Ham & Swiss Croissant, the Blueberry Cream Cheese Danish and a Chocolate Chip Cookie. The croissant was very good. The combination of ham and Swiss is everything. The croissant itself was buttery and flakey. Pretty good! The danish was also very good. The blueberry cream cheese center was very tasty. A good fruity flavor with a cream finish. It had a nice layer of cream cheese on the bottom, topped with a blueberry compote. A good mix of sweet with a buttery flakey croissant base. The chocolate chip cookie was good. It was pretty standard. I would say a typical chocolate chip cookie, not really anything special. Overall, if you are at Findlay Market and want a good pastry, Mainwood is a good place to check out.

Chocolate Croissant 5/5: flaky exterior with light, fluffy layers surrounding delicious chocolate inside.

This is a good spot for really solid baked goods. Located in Findlay Market, Mainwood's croissants and cookies are good, but pretty standard fare. They also have a variety of scones, sweet and savoury, that were excellent. I'm not a sundried tomato guy, but I really enjoyed their sundried tomato scone, parked outside on a chair facing the market. Coffee was surprisingly good, and service was very friendly.

*THIS IS FROM THE FORMER CAKE RACK BAKERY** The Cake Rack team is always very attentive and has tons of gluten free options! Gluten free donuts, gluten free chocolate torte, gluten free red velvet cake and carrot cake, gluten free oatmeal and cherry cookies plus salads and sandwiches for lunch. I can't rave about this place enough, please come out and support small businesses! They have gf focaccia bread and white bread in addition to their desserts. Vegan options available as well.

I've love their pastries at Deeper Roots coffee for a long time. They simply have the best blueberry danishes on the face of the planet. Try one, you absolutely must, you won't regret it.

We had never heard of Mainwood Pastry when we started looking for a bakery. We only knew we cared more about how the cake tasted than how it looked (no fondant, please and thank you). We also knew we needed to feed a discerning crowd. Not everyone likes cake. We're still hearing from these cake haters about how great the cake was at the party. Delicious. Made with real ingredients and love.

The croissants are AMAZING! I tried a croissant baked with ham and Swiss from there recently, expecting to just enjoy a favorite classic combination. Instead, when I took my first bite, it was so simple yet perfectly delicious that I had to close my eyes to savor the moment. It was like somehow being magically transported to a fabulous patisserie in France. The croissant was so outstanding that it was literally a transformative experience. I cannot wait to go back to Mainwood Pastry for more.

Best croissant I have ever tasted! I tried one filled with ham and Swiss, expecting just to enjoy a favorite classic combination. Instead, I felt like I had just been magically transported to France. It was AMAZING! I can't wait to go back for more.

First time here - and I'm a big fan! I got the savory sun dried tomato scone and the almond croissant. That almond croissant - SO good. Really not sure what the "review of the day" wanted out of an almond croissant but this exceeded my exceptions! Served up with friendly service, too! I will definitely be making an effort to treat myself here more often! I only recently discovered the insiders trick to shopping Findlay Market... Thursday mornings. There is a pay parking lot "south 4" where I was in at 1015 and chose an hour stay - it ended up being free to park (but you still have to put your ticket in the window I think?). Anyhow, I was in and out before the lunch crowd wandered in and there just as folks were finishing the last bit of set up. Mainwood is a must stop on the way back to the car!

Popped in to see what all of the fuss was about just to find it wasn't a fuss at all. Mainwood Pastry is just that. Very casual spot to chill and maybe get some work done if that's your thing. We ordered several pastries and coffee, chatted with the pleasant folks working, and went about our day. Give them a try and enjoy it like we did.
