I LOVE the bourbon caramel banana pudding! But really, anything you get from this vendor is going to be delicious. I’ve been stopping at their stalls for years now. If you’re at Findley, or even nearby, stop and get yourself a delicious treat!

Better Than Your Mom's Apple Pie!
I've always been a fan of Findlay Market, but lately I find myself returning for one thing: Makers Bakers Apple Pie. I just bought my third little pie in less than a month. I enjoy it's flaky crust and those chunks of sweet, flavorful apples. I can't help myself!
Makers Bakers is located at the center of Findlay Market's indoor vendors They had a line of customers waiting to buy, but the staff remained polite, attentive and helpful.
Besides those addictive apple pies, They sell sandwiches, hot beverages, and many other fresh baked goods. (I bought my second loaf of sourdough bread.)
They bake everything right there on the premises. I watched as a young baker carefully placed a pan of loaves into the oven.
Their prices are reasonable for the quality baked goods they sell.

everyone here is AMAZING and the cakes are so CUTE! got a heart shaped cake for my partner and everyone LOVED it. the decorating was perfect and the cake was SO good. we didnt even want to touch it and ruin it. THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!!!!

Thank you Makers Bakers for our amazing wedding cake! It was absolutely delicious and gorgeous! The best carrot cake I’ve ever had, as well as the top layer of red velvet cake! Your cream cheese icing is like having a piece of cheesecake! So delicious!!!!! Thank you so much! Our guests were very happy and we had very little left over! It was perfection!!!!

The banana pudding by itself is worth five stars. We also picked up the rosemary seasalt focaccia which was delicious.

I love spending time in this market, in Cincinnati in general. It’s the closest thing you can get to a real proper “city experience” in Ohio.

My youngest son had raved about the confections at this stall. We stood in line for about 12-13 min and had the chance to see the cheery staff member (maybe owner because she referred to all their accolades personally in many of the conversations with patrons). Person after person she gave the same or similar very cheerful greeting followed by “have you had our food before?” Right as we were about to be up to order a young gentleman walked up. She looked at him and greeted him. He said “their next”. She looked at my son and I, who she had clearly made eye contact with during the prior multiple customer interactions. She looked at us stone faced , no affect “what can I get you”. “I have never been here before” I chimed. Completely devoid of smile she explained why they were world famous. She told us our total. She didn’t even finish the transaction before she was waiting on the next person and, yup. When she waited on him, it was full of joy.

My son literally said, “sorry, I’m not sure what was up with that.”

It was shocking.

Cincinnati has a problem and this exchange is emblematic of that problem. In a fierce moment of irony, we walked out of the market and found ourselves at a sign discussing “persecution of the German population”. Deeply, deeply ironic. We both chuckled.

If you own a business it’s important that you not allow race to colour your disposition. This was easily a 1 star experience, further irony, the only other time “black / white” disrespect was this on display was in the Deep South when my closest friend and I went in to a Mississippi gas station and the told us it was white only. We laughed and left. Then cried.

Perpetuating these feelings IN THIS CITY is a perpetual problem. It makes me sad. I was hurt. Not surprised. I won’t be back. The food wasn’t brilliant and the staff has a problem.

Let’s heal this city.

I come to Tara and Kevin with all my cake needs! They are so sweet and accommodating, and make sure they knock it out of the park for you. I most recently got my niece her 2 yr old Blues Clues cake and it was so damn cute! One of the best businesses in Findlay Market. 🖤

Absolutely loved my visit to Makers Bakers! The breakfast sandwich was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and made just right. I also tried their pop tarts, and they were delicious—definitely worth every penny! The young lady who helped me was super nice and very helpful in guiding me to pick the perfect dessert. Great service and even better food. I’ll definitely be back!

Excellent breads, cinnamon rolls, cheesecake, banana pudding. Sandwiches are so good. We have tasted almost everything on the menu and it is all delicious. Cakes made to order are delicious and beautiful as well. Owners and staff are friendly and helpful - this place is our go to for baked items and desserts!

Dont be in a hurry to get a grilled cheese. It takes 30+ minutes.
