Best food, I haven't had anything bad from this place. If you're not a guacamole fan you need to retry theirs. This place is perfection. Inside is small hard to get seating at certain times. Food is going to be the best when the man with the hat is on the grill!

Food was good, but there was a server who we have to repeat 2 times or more for something, we ask for 2 empanadas and she bring me 2 orders more which we don’t need more than 2 empanadas, the personal very unorganized, the salsa didn’t have spicy at all. Didn’t have a chair for baby car seat.

Dude. These tacos are so amazing. I have eaten a lot of tacos in my day and those tacos slap. 10 outta 10. Put your mom on, your grandma, everyone in your family.
Everything is made in house. Including the chips and salsa. That quesadilla was to die for. I literally drove from Columbus on 3 separate occasions just to eat there. It is that good.

You have to order in line, no free chips, tacos only come with one tortilla, no rice or beans with the combo, and even the lime was tiny and dry. They cut corners on everything and still charge high prices. The flavor wasn’t great either. Never coming back.

I’ve been to many Mexican restaurants, and this is the worst one. It’s a total rip-off. They save money by not having servers since you have to stand in line and order yourself, yet the prices are still expensive.
They don’t have carnitas tacos, the 3-taco combo doesn’t come with rice and beans like it usually does at other places, and at every other Mexican restaurant I’ve been to, they bring chips to your table for free while you’re waiting. Here, the chips are kept at a bar, and you have to pay for them.
The tacos only come with one tortilla instead of two, they don’t give you salsa on the side for the tacos because they put it on themselves, and even the lime they give you is just a tiny, dry piece.
Overall, this place cuts corners on everything and still charges high prices. The flavor wasn’t that good either compared to other restaurants I’ve been to. I will never come back.
We came here Sunday we are a bigger family. Firstly we were not greeted by anyone or told hey you actually order at the register by anyone until we asked a passing server. The young man at the register was very friendly but didn’t let us know we had to buy the salsa separately or that the cups were taken by someone in order to receive a margarita. After we paid we asked an older server if we got the salsas from the bar. She was very unfriendly, asked us for the receipt, simply said we didn’t pay for it and left. We went back and paid for the salsa. We just think they should have been more friendly about it we obviously had never been there before. The same older server later came up asking for the cups we let her know we used them for soda cups for the kids we didn’t know those were the cups we needed for the aguas frescas and margarita. She was very rude for all our interactions. The food it self was not good. The chile relleno had no egg and was just a mushy mess. The pozole was so ridiculously small and the enchiladas weren’t even rolled. We also spent more than $100 and no one ate or enjoyed the food. I’d leave -1 for service if I could. First time there and will never return.

Our first restaurant love. We were locals back in 2013, 2014…I don’t remember the year but we visited Mazunte very shortly after it opened. Margaritas were serve yourself. The food was so delicious and the margs were out of this world. Josh brought my husband a free beer one time, as he remembered us and was glad to see us back. Our favorite restaurant and we lived a minute away at the time. 2025…two kids later, we visited with our four and seven year old…picky as can be…and our seven year old “bravely” tried the rice and exclaims, “this is next level”! He proceeds to add the rice to his steak and cheese quesadillas along with chips. Completely demolished them. It felt full circle and I was so happily surprised that the vibe inside was exactly as I remembered. We may now live in the burbs but we will be sure to trek back down to our most favorite spot more frequently now that it’s now our kids favorite spot, too. Cheers!
