My Cincinnati cousin never thought I'd come visit. But this Thanksgiving week I did. He had tremendous civic pride in everything about Cincinnati, including this restaurant where we dined. I'd go again. To Cincinnati and the Metropole.

Fine dining quality in a beautiful, yet casual, setting. Dishes are created by chefs, so this is NOT the kind of place where substitutions are accepted. The waitstaff and support staff are attentive, knowledgeable, professional, and stay out of the way (unless you want to engage with them). Highly recommended!

I had a bit of a different year this year that led to me deciding to do Thanksgiving alone. I considered cooking at home, but that's no fun, right? I looked up restaurants on OpenTable who were open and Metropole popped up. I've wanted to stay at the 21c hotel but simply hadn't gotten the chance or reason to yet.
