An outstanding wine pairing dinner! Each course was exquisitely prepared and presented by Chef Gregory Bacon. Our group of six was delighted with each tasty offering. The Alexander Valley vineyard wines paired perfectly with chef's offerings. Dessert was the best creme brule I've ever tasted! GM Shannon Kyle was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly, making sure we were pleased with each course. Everyone in our group remarked how wonderful this dining experience was and that we would absolutely come back for more adventures in dining at Morton's the Steakhouse Cincinnati. If you've not been here lately (or ever)...now is the time to go!

This was pretty much what you would expect for an upscale steakhouse. The food was tasty, on the pricey side (as expected). We went for our parents' anniversary so they had menus printed out specifically for us which was cute. Service was a little slow, but they wanted you to enjoy all the courses offered. As far as "fancy" restaurants go, it's not my favorite, not super memorable. Also, they charge you a fee to have your leftovers boxed to go, that was a first for me.Parking: Valet is most convenient option, cost $12. Otherwise you'd have to pay for a garage or street parking and walk.

I had my birthday dinner here in a private event room. The waiter was pleasant and never appeared uncomfortable. The room was perfect—not too big and not too small. Everyone enjoyed their meal. My party ran over, and the restaurant did not complain or rush us out. Everything was perfect.

As we have been there several times, not one time ever disappointed. We have usually asked for Max, when possible, they have always been happy to abide. He's just an Awesome server and not only his knowledge of the entire menu but helpful if we request something different with our food. My friend has shellfish allergies and he as remembered from the first time. Can't thank him enough for his concern and making us comfortable each trip. Also a Very polite young man. Thanks

Service and atmosphere were great. One of our steaks was way undercooked. Sent it back and it still wasn't cooked enough. The order was a filet mignon, medium-well done. It bled on the plate as served, then extremely red after it was sent back. Very expensive to make this issue.

I ate here, it's wasn't bad, but not nearly as good as it should have been. Service was both arrogant and ignorant. I remember... the basement, the black tie, the elegant. We are a long way from those days. Do we now cater to the lowest common dominator, or do we ascribe to be something greater? I'm afraid it's the former... Grow up, be who you are. Demand more.

We celebrated our Wedding Anniversary tonight and received tremendous service from Alexis & Noah (trainee). Enjoyed the Prime Ribeye & NY Strip Steaks and added on the Black Truffle Butter & Bacon Wrapped Sea Scallops. Sides were excellent (Baked Corn soufflé & Au Gratin Potatoes). The Morton's Hot Chocolate Cake was a perfect ending to the meal. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the view of Fountain Square. Parked in a nearby underground garage for only $9. Valet Parking was $12.

I emailed Morton's a week ago to discuss the poor experience that my boyfriend and I had on Valentine's Day. Since I have not received any acknowledgement or response, I am writing here, in hopes of getting someone's attention.Note: The service we received was wonderful! It was the lack of food quality and the price that we had an issue with. Had the food quality reflected the price we paid, we would not have had an issue.Context: My boyfriend and I are both professionals in our late 30's to early 40's. We are not strangers to high end restaurants. We know what type of service and food quality to expect when we go to a restaurant like Morton's.Our Experience:Our $220 dinner, which included the Valentine's Day special featuring a 28 oz. New York Strip, lobster tails, and sides, unfortunately fell short of our expectations based on Morton's reputation and pricing.Specifically, we encountered the following challenges:Steak: While presented nicely, we felt the New York Strip contained more bone than meat and lacked any seasoning or flavor, leaving it bland and underwhelming. The accompanying sauces and butter were also very thick and difficult to pour and use.Lobster Tails: These arrived separately, after the rest of our food. We only received them upon bringing it to staff’s attention. They tasted decent, though not exceptional.Sides: The Brussel sprouts were unremarkable, while the corn soufflé, though decent, shouldn't be the highlight of a $220 meal. Which, is what ended up happening.Drinks: My boyfriend's Old Fashioned seemed watered down, and my passion margarita had an unusual aftertaste.Overall, considering the cost and our past experiences at other fine dining establishments like Jeff Ruby's and Capital Grille, this meal felt significantly below par. We left feeling hungry, disappointed, and irritated - especially considering the positive recommendations we had received. In our opinion, you will get a MUCH better meal at Capital Grille or any of the Jeff Ruby restaurants. We ate at the Capital Grille a week prior to our meal at Morton's. Our bill was around the same price point, however our meal and service was outstanding.Bottom Line: If you are wanting exceptional food, skip Morton's.

Where do I start? This was our first visit to this location and I doubt we’ll ever return. Of course we were dining for Valentine’s Day but also after a recent loss in our family just a much needed night out. We were seated promptly at a high top table in the bar and then it was downhill from there. The atmosphere was tight, and COLD. There was a constant breeze from outside coming from the door nearby and up the stairs from the downstairs entrance. It was unbearable. The gentleman at the table behind us had to keep getting up to close the door but didn’t realize it was coming from downstairs as well. Our server seemed to be the only one serving the six tables sat and she was very much in the weeds. As someone who spent 10yrs serving I gave her grace for the majority of our experience..but I will note she didn’t greet us..provide her name..suggest anything at all. We got the basic “are you ready to order”…the rest of our dinner she did drive by service. We ordered starter salads, steaks and three sides. I asked for my steak to be medium and my boyfriend got medium well..to our dismay his steak was medium/medium rare despite it being butterflied and my steak was VERY medium rare borderline blue.As I am expecting I could not enjoy my steak at all. We sent his back to be remade but again being from the industry I hate being that table..I didn’t want to also send mine back to wait even longer to eat dinner. The sides were already pretty cold from the constant breeze surrounding us. Our server had no idea I was unhappy as again she never stopped by after the remake was dropped off by management. The lobster Mac was pretty good and the creamed spinach was decent as well.We sat for 20 mins before my boyfriend flagged the server down asking to box my barely touched food. She immediately offered our check and I asked for a dessert menu..while looking over desert we heard and saw our server drop something at the boxing station. It was our mashed potatoes from what we could see and who knows what else. My boyfriend responded welp there goes our leftovers..but no SHE STILL BOXED THEM AND GAVE THEM TO US TO TAKE HOME. I was throughly disgusted and irate but truly too outdone to even bother. If we hadn’t seen with our own eyes her picking it up from the ground we would have consumed that. What type of establishment is this??? For $265 I expect way better quality service. I completely regret canceling our Carlo & Johnny reso. 0/10 do NOT RECOMMEND. From our receipt it says our server was Casie..girlfriend do better.

We visited Mortons for a friend's birthday celebration last week and were underwhelmed. Atmosphere for a Saturday night was a little dead, food was good but overpriced, and service was mediocre. The one big gripe we had was that they refused to split up our bill. We were a group of 10 that only needed 5 separate bills. I work in a nice restaurant here in cincinnati, and we would never tell someone that we can't break up their $1,500 bill down. Absolutely ridiculous in my opinion, and it's no wonder they only have 4.0 stars at a fine dining restaurant. I have broken down bills much more difficult and i know it's not always fun but never worth pissing people off about it, esp people that just spent $1,500. We sat at the table for 15 minutes trying to split our bills up like 16 year olds after we sternly requested separate bills. Not a great call by their management, destined to get bad reviews. We will not be returning.
