My grandfather in law grew up in this area and he always told me about how good this place was. I don’t think there’s a day that goes by that he doesn’t mention the Hot Met Coneys that they’re known for.
I got to talking about them the other day and made the trip out. Me and my wife ordered a bit of everything, we got a slaw dog, a coney, TWO hot met coneys (one for grandpa), a Chicago dog and chili cheese fries. I have to say, the food was all super good. It tastes very fresh and home made, like in your grandmas kitchen.
The hot met coney lived up to the hype, it was amazing. All the food I got was very good. They even gave me a woven sack with the Mr Genes Dog House logo on it to have my food in. I paid about $30 for everything which was very reasonable. Skyline would have been way more expensive.
Would love to come back!!! Pictured is the Chicago dog, it was an absolute banger!
