Really good saag paneer and the chicken makhani is pretty good too. Super clean restaurant. Could use some decor to make it a nice place to sit. My one request...please stop using green dye in the chutney. I love that chutney but cant eat green dye. It's really toxic and unnecessary.

We went on a Friday evening. It was not really busy. The restaurant is small so maybe 7 booths with 2 tables in the center. A lot if people were ordering to go or delivery. The food was excellent, very flavorful and the spice scale was pretty accurate. We order the dinner for 2 special which comes with veggie pakoras as an appetizer, 2 dishes, rice and 1 garlic naan. The 2 dishes can be any vegetarian or no vegetarian. We ordered Chicken dal and a lamb curry dish. Both very delicious and each dish was more than enough for two people. I have not tried any other dishes but plan on going back soon. There was only one person working, she was taking phone orders, attending to pick ups and deliveries. So she was not as attentive as she could have been to the tables. We waited for the check for some time and any water refills were a long wait. Do try the place for their food, one of the best so far in Cincinnati.

Can I give 10 stars? 20? 100? This is hands down my favorite restaurant I've ever been to. I used to eat here regularly before moving a little far out. Still stop by when I can.

If you're looking for a quick Indian buffet for lunch in the Madisonville/Oakley area, this is a place to go. I was neither thrilled nor underwhelmed. The place was clean, the food was fresh and hot while I was there and the staff were friendly. My favorite dish on the buffet is the saag paneer! They also have the little bowl with extra cayenne pepper that's not shown in my photos.

Today 02/14/2024 I walked in to the business and before i said anything the host(older lady) refused to serve me without reason. prior to this visit i walked into the and attempted to get the buffet and she said i could only take out. so i grabbed what was left over and she tried to charge 28 dollars for a take out tray which is ridiculous so i declined to pay for it. Beware of this restaurant.

It was so good! The music could be louder, because it’s beautiful, but the food was absolutely scrumptious. I tried the entire buffet and every single thing was perfectly flavorful. I was surprised how much I loved the mango dessert, which was part of the buffet. And I was delighted that they let you take the buffet Togo for 8.99/lb. I spent $30 on my experience, because I’m Extra, and I’ll do it again. Compliments to the Chef!! ?

It’s been a few years since I’ve been able to have Indian food and man am I glad I chose this place. The food was absolutely perfect. Both fresh and delicious. The restaurant itself is very clean, and the service was warm and always with a smile.

Great god almighty! This is easily the most amazing Indian food I think I’ve ever had! Clean restaurant, great and friendly service, and the food is fresh and amazing! I will need a weekly fix!

I am hooked. Discovered the lunch and I have returned many times for carry out as well. Food has the right amount of spice blends making every bite full of flavor, consistency is perfect as well - not too thin. THE best Indian food around. And the family is super nice! Lunch buffet typically has 3 to 4 chicken and 3 to 4 veggie to pick from. Also can purchase to go @8.99 a pound. Be sure to arrive by 1:30’ish or you can not be seated. They close at 2 for lunch.

Have been to New Shaan multiple times before. It had become our family's go-to for Indian cuisine. The food is great!This evening I placed a pick-up order totalling just under $80. Pick it up and go home. Get home and after a taste test notice it's the wrong order... The spice level was way too high. I call and a woman apologized that she had given me the incorrect order and to come back to get my correct order.I walked in and she asked me where the other order was. I told her we threw it out, that she wouldn't be able to sell it etc. Was I supposed to trade it for my order that's been sitting there for an hour? Was my order taste tested and returned?Won't be returning.

New Shaan is the best indian on the east side of cincinnati and top 3 in the city overall in my opinion. consistently delicious. i always order takeout and the portions are generous, warm, and well packaged. staff are quick and friendly. prices are fair and makes your car smell
