My husband and I went to Nicola's for my birthday, which we communicated in advance, however, we were sat at a very uncomfortable table on the balcony area in their back room. The table was up against a wall in a high traffic area. You would think for a birthday request we would have a better location like near the lovely fireplace. The service was very slow. I think it took at least 15 minutes from the time we ordered drinks for them to arrive, and continued to lack from there. Our server clearly had tables in a different section and they seemed to be her primary concern, maybe she kept forgetting about us because we were in a different section? The food was absolutely amazing! But for the price point I expect top tier service and that is not what we received.

No doubt this is the best upscale Italian restaurant in the Cincy area. Better than Rubys as well. Best espresso I've ever had as well.
