Another fantastic meal at Nolia - I had the chicken gizzards, carrots, cornbread skillet and the duck and they were all outstanding. Great cocktails too. The ambiance is also great - nolia has somehow managed to create a bustling atmosphere that you can still have a conversation in, which is really important as most restaurants are too noisy, imo. Good gluten free options as well!

We finally visited Nolia… it was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday. We really enjoyed our evening. The food was delicious, the atmosphere delightful, and the service was top-notch. We will be back!

Underwhelming and overpriced. The service and ambience were good (we sat in the back "bar"), but the food was surprisingly bland and dangerously undercooked. It's never great when the best thing you can say about a meal is that the bread was good. Even worse when it's cornbread, the world's cheapest bread, that sells for $15 for a 4" skillet. Did you know you could eat lukewarm, rare duck? Apparently you can, but it wasn't pleasant. The play on shrimp grits also featured a showy but meager and undercooked (partially translucent) protein. The grits had the most flavor and were tasty, but looked like vomit. Each main plate you see here was $45-50. No salad or sides included. We got the green beans and they were decent, but not spectacular. Cocktail was showy but just ok. After $90 per person, I left underwhelmed and still a bit hungry.

Worth all the hype. Cozy and sophisticated. The staff was attentive but discrete. The food was melt in your mouth and decadent. We shared an appetizer, meal, and side and walked out full.

Nolia is top notch. I have been here twice now, once in September and once in October so two separate menus since they change it ever 90 days or so. The food was amazing both times. Every bite is so flavorful. The cornbread is a must. The pinchos (pork cheek) were bursting with flavor, we savored every bite. The oysters with the Nolia hot sauce were so good, we could have made a whole meal of them. We also split the potato dumplings and the partridge entrees. The potato dumplings were my favorite out of the entrees. The service was also great. We were checked on regularly, but not to the point where it would be annoying. Our drinks were kept full. The servers were knowledgeable of the menu. I loved being able to see the head chef and other cooks at work, being able to see the art of the meals from start to finish. The chefs were so personable with their greetings when we walked in and left, despite being busy. We really enjoyed our experience and I can’t wait to come back for the next menu and bring more friends and family!

This is the Chef’s Tasting Menu
that Michelin Stars are Made of.
Nolia serves a beautiful and inspired dinner service, supported by an excellent bar and a simple, but expertly curated, wine list.
In addition, there is now a limited availability Chef’s Tasting Menu that is a unique experience. If you are looking for a special dinner for loved ones or for valued clients, this is the answer. It is supremely memorable.
Our party of five all agreed that our experience at Nolia’s Tasting Table belongs in the top echelon of our dining experiences, including meals at Michelin Star restaurants in New York, San Francisco, Napa, Los Angeles, Singapore, Sydney, London, and Paris.
This is because James Beard Award nominee Chef Jeffrey Harris is one of the most creative and thoughtful chefs working today.
Chef Harris comes to the tasting table to explain the inspiration for, and the execution of, each course.
After three amuse-bouche treats, our meal included courses of Wagyu A5 beef, Hokkaido scallop and king crab, seared monkfish on risotto. Perhaps my favorite course was a superfine nori-laced cornbread served with goat butter. Truly inspired.
The desert course was a series of darling delights, from curry vanilla cookies to a mille feuille of fresh apple and a house made ice cream that was simply divine.
Please note that the front of the house is expertly and professionally run. The tableside service delivered by Kristen, Chris, Cole and the rest of the Nolia team is on point - relaxed when it should be, but always attentive to every detail.
This is THE experience to book for the cuisine geeks whom you love the most.

First, I’d like to give a big thank you to Chef Jeffrey Harris. I’m so proud to see you representing the 9th Ward – you’re truly making your community proud! My girlfriend and I visited tonight from the West Coast to celebrate our anniversary, and we were blown away by the exceptional food and outstanding service.
The cornbread with peanut soup was incredible, but honestly, every dish we tried was fantastic. Hats off to Chef Harris and the entire team – you made our night unforgettable! If you’re in Cincinnati, definitely check this place out!

We have several food restrictions, we don’t eat pork, shellfish or tree nuts. The staff was absolutely AMAZING at making the menu options work for us. The food was ABSOLUTELY delicious, the chefs were so friendly and involved in our dining experience. We had to bring our toddler at the last minute and they were nice about making the reservation for us but we were seated nearly 45-55 minutes late. This was unfortunate but they did verbally apologize. We will be back to try the new menu.

I have been to a number of James Beard winning and nominated restaurants in recent years and I really wanted to like Nolia, but left disappointed for multiple reasons.
Service: We sat at our table for 10 minutes before our server came over. Service throughout the meal was average. Compared to other similarly priced meals, I expected much more.
Food: two dishes stood out as disappointing. The potato dumplings were described on the menu as featuring a foie gras emulsion and andouille sausage, what showed up was a large piece of foie gras, about a dozen potato dumplings, and tiny crumbles of the driest andouille sausage imaginable on top of a creamy sauce. I did not expect, nor want, a large piece of foie gras. Also disappointing was the rum 'cake" which was the densest cake I've ever eaten. I have an open mind about different styles of food, and perhaps this was a style of cake that I wasn't familiar with. But it was dry and gritty, and I struggled to find any redeeming qualities about it. The other dishes we got were good, but not great.
My wife and I spent over $100 per person for 2 drinks each, 4 small plates / sides, one large plate, and one dessert. As I said earlier I wanted to like it, but the quantity -- and more importantly the quality -- of food did not warrant this price.

We visited The Nolia Kitchen for dinner after hearing great reviews. We ordered cornbread, fish, and partridge. The cornbread was excellent, but the fish and partridge were a bit dry. The service was fantastic, however we were left feeling underwhelmed by the fall menu.

The Fall menu is wonderful! We loved the sweet crab claws with pomegranate . My favorite was the peanut soup which was light flavorful. The dandelion stems gave a delightful crunch paired with the cornmeal bread was spot on. My entree was fish with a fabulous twist on baked beans with black eyed peas!
