Best wings in the city, really convenient spot in Oakley, and I had really great service there from a cute brunette chick. Also—the fact they have all the sauces ready to go in squirt bottles that are CLEAN…my god what a lovely thing to see.

Definitely a local spot. Have to say the service was great. The wings were very good. We got grilled and we're not seasoned. They let you choose your own seasoning from a selection of many sauces. They also don't charge you for the sauces. The celery that we ordered with it was weak. We also tried the sampler appetizer and I don't suggest it. The pretzel bites were way over done. The rest was fair. Stick to the wings.

I won't lie. The food was AMAZING. However, the service and atmosphere were lacking. Yes, it was a busy Saturday night, so I'll give them some wiggle room. When you walked in, the music was loud, not just a normal sports bar loud but have to use your phone to text the person directly next to you because you are completely unable to hear ANYTHING. Being a restaurant as well as a bar, there should have been some sort of table service. Instead, everything was ordered through the bar. It was so loud in fact I had to type out what I wanted and physically hand my phone to the bartender so they could put my order in. The food came out quickly, which was great, but after that, there was no one to even stop back to make sure it was correct. It was just a drop and go. It wouldn't have mattered though because once again the music was excessively loud. Maybe another night it would have been different? With how good the food is I'm sure I'll give it another shot but hopefully that time I won't have to use my phone to communicate with everyone.

The wings are good, but over-priced. The Big Mike burger, was okay, but very messy. The fries weren't very good, the chicken tenders were pretty bad and apparently the prices have gone up by 40% or more. But, THE THING THAT TOTALLY SUCKED was that I asked Siri for the Oak Tavern on my phone. I clicked on the link. It came up with an option to see the menu. When I clicked on that I got the full menu and a note saying to call for carryout. I did so, but after returning home with the food I noticed that I was charged over 40% more than what appeared on the site with their menu and phone number. I called and spoke to a very nice guy named Sam who indicated that the site I had ordered off of was incorrect and that his manager would be interested in knowing what site it was and that I should come back and speak with a manager. When I did so the place looked like it was closing as there were no customers, only two guys who appeared to be employees. I asked for Sam, but he was gone. I asked for a manager, but they were not there either. So, these two guys say it is a known issue with Google and that they cannot get the site I used updated with correct pricing or get it deleted. They said that it is correct on the Oak website and what I used (in good faith) to base my order on was incorrect and not what I should have used. And the guy with the long hair started getting a bit uppity about it waving his phone in my face saying the correct price is on the Oak website. He took offense when I said his site sucked because his pricing was higher than what appeared on the Oak site I found and relied on. They said I could come back tomorrow and talk to a manager. So, I can make three trips to the Oak instead of what should have been one trip. I will be calling them in the morning to speak with a manager. Stay tuned for what happens. Hopefully, the manager apologizes and refunds the difference and commits to getting the site changed soor deleted so, this stops happening to people. Then we can move on and my perception and rating of the Oak goes up. We'll see. Stay tuned. P.S. I should also note that while I was in the Oak from approximately 11:00 - 11:10, my wife was in our car parked on the side street next to the library. In the 10 minutes I was in the Oak she had two different people on two separate occasions approach the car. One trying to get money and other just looking in the car. Fortunately, she had the doors locked and our dog was with her. She was pretty scared by the time I got back.

They were SLAMMED today for the Bengals game but they were extremely Johnny on the spot with service and the wings were the bomb as usual! Very slow service. Our meals were forgotten due to a dropped ticket in the kitchen. While we appreciate that the meals were comped, when we finally received them, both orders were wrong (probably because the waitress didn’t write anything down when taking the order).

Wings were solid, but everything else was pretty terrible. Bottles of PBR we ordered were expired. Waiter came to our table only 2x - once to greet us and give drinks and the other to drop off apps. That particular waiter was also rude. Had to have another waiter bring us our food and help us order refills. Some of the food our group ordered was lukewarm. Waited so long to get a refill/check, we decided to just go to the bar ourselves to do it. First time eating here and I was not impressed. Bummer because I’ve heard it’s supposed to be good, but the hype doesn’t live up.UPDATE: I went back a second time and it still wasn’t good. Burger tasted fine, but it was something I could make at home. Fries were almost exactly like McDonalds. A friend had a wrap which he said was terrible. Beer was not expired this time though. Service still very bad/slow. Bummer, I’d like for this place to be good but it just suffers on so many levels.

Overall their food here is great, I will say some of the price increases they have made seem a little drastic. I had the fish sandwich which was good, however for having to pay for a side and getting 1 fairly small piece of fish, I think it is not a good value. The wings were delicious and seemed more appropriately priced. Our server was very friendly but I feel like the restaurant is understaffed so you do not see your server frequently enough. We had to go up to the bar to ask for missing items from our order and to get our check at the end. Probably a better place to stop in during non busy meal times.
