We arrived on time for our dinner reservation and were told by the host that the kitchen and staff were “overwhelmed” Told us we could only get drinks and MAYBE ORDER dinner in an hour? If you choose this venue- Better have a backup plan!
They brought out a white wine spritzer when I asked for a Hugo Spritz. Then they brought out a salad w no chicken on it and were going to run out a chicken breast for me but by the time I got the chicken breast everyone was done eating. So they comped the chicken breast but still made me pay for a plain salad. The server was darling so I made sure to tip her but if I had to tip the kitchen or the bartender I would not have. We won't be going back.
I made a reservation at overlook for five people at 6 PM. When we arrived at the restaurant someone there somewhat rudely said oh we have a private party tonight so we don't have any dining options even though I had made a reservation through OpenTable. they were rude and did not apologize at all. We were very disappointed.
Food was hit or miss. Flatbread was delicious, but my salad was terrible. I added grilled chicken, which was neither grilled nor real chicken. Chicken tasted like Tyson chicken strips from a bag, and had that distinct processed taste. Pomegranates in salad were not fresh, but the kind you get from a package, small dull unjuicy pink tubes. BUT the greens were fresh. No tap beer because their tap wasn't working. Restaurant was well appointed, but there were very few people there, so no real vibe. It was a lot of money for food that was meh. Our server/bartender was friendly. Rooftop bar was nice, but it was too hot to eat outside; I doubt I'll go again.
Parking: There is parking under the hotel in a garage.

We were in town to see Creed and had dinner at Overlook first. Tonya was awesome and really helped get our night off to a great start! She was so fun and attentive. The food was excellent, the restaurant was very accommodating to my allergies (gluten, dairy, egg.)
So much fun and great dishes!!
Pesto was to die for :-)
Breakfast was EXCELLENT!! I reccommend requesting omlette and pancakes or french toast... we did, it was perfect - expensive, but deliscious
Customer service is really bad.

We have been wanting to try Overlook and Cincy Restaurant Week was the perfect opportunity. Their menu was simple but satisfying and full of flavor from the salad with a lemon dill dressing garnished with crunchy chickpeas to the well-seasoned tender ribeye to the dessert of orange sponge cake with burnt sugar, we were glad we decided to go! The drinks and overall service was great too and even though it is a more upscale menu, it was a come as you are atmosphere. Maybe next time we can enjoy their sprawling patio with live music as well.
Food was very underwhelming. It was not bad, just very little flavorful. Would not make an effort to return. The live music was nice but very loud for the small space. Drinks and peanut butter mousse were both really good! Server was attentive and polite.
This was our first visit and we will be back. The food was delicious and our salmon was prepared perfectly. We also enjoyed the Napa cabbage salad. The ambience was okay but it did feel a little sterile and minimalistic, but the food and service made up for it.
The service was good and we liked the wine. The food was overpriced and a let down. The salad was super basic and the duck was dry. The waffle tasted like a bisquick waffle. Would not recommend.
It was a good meal and the service was very friendly though a bit slow. There was a large party seated near us and they were quite loud. The food was cooked well and as ordered and tasted good but nothing really leaped out as special.
