I absolutely love this Restaurant, when I heard about the fire a while back I was worried it would be gone for good, but thankfully it still exists and is mostly run out if the Bar section upstairs. As a half Ohioan Half Floridian, I love how this place is like a little taste of Florida in the Greater Cincinnati area. The food is delicious, the service is friendly and on point and the decor just Screams that Floridian beachside aesthetic. I wholeheartedly recommend this place if you’re in Cincinnati and like seafood. Don’t be deterred by the mess downstairs, you’re in the right place.

Dietary restrictions: If you have Seafood allergies then this might not be the place for you.

Parking: There’s some parking up front but the majority of spaces are around back. Which works perfectly since it’s easier to get to the restaurant back there.

Best grilled Shrimp PoBoy, I've had since moving out of New Orleans!
I took off the tomato and onions; but the Bun & Shrimp are authentic!

Pelican’s Reef is open! This was one of the first restaurants we ate at when we moved to Cincinnati in 2015. My wife and a I love seafood, I grew up on the coast and was raised eating fresh seafood and Pelican’s Reef was always a taste of what I missed the most. We had eaten there several times and were devastated to hear about the fire. We recently heard they had the 2nd floor open for dine-in so we went on a late Saturday afternoon. There is some renovation still going on downstairs but just go through the single door out front on the right side and up the stairs and you are there. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, service was prompt and food was all fresh and delicious. We had fried oysters, Lobster Bisque, Clam chowder, Caesar salads, grilled Mahi-mahi and stuffed grouper. Everything was excellent, fresh and cooked to order. Oysters and fish tasted very fresh and were perfectly cooked. We were so excited to be back at one of our favorite restaurants and enjoyed everything we ordered! Thanks!

Closed for lunch week days. I didn't see that on their website. If it was there.

Can't believe that they were closed for remodeling!

They have reopened the top floor (accessible from the back of the building) and brought back a portion of the menu.
