I love Penn station! it's my favorite place to get a sub. The Philly cheese steak is the best sandwich they have I order it all the time with extra meat and cheese. It's always fresh, seasoned, hot out the oven and taste great!

The first time I came to this location, my sandwich was great. The last couple of times I have gone not so much. The one sandwich had hardly any meat on it. I asked for toppings that were not on there. I went again today, trying to give them another chance and it’s still not right. It’s edible, but it’s not right and the cook or whoever he is was more worried about how I was ordering the sandwich instead of worrying about how the sandwich is cooked. And the chocolate chip cookies were not done. I will say the guy at the register is always nice, but I don’t wanna sacrifice quality of my sandwich for customer service I probably will lay off going to this location for a while.

All these reviews for this location have to be fake. I have eaten here maybe 3 times in 3 months due to lack of options in neighborhood and regret it everytime i do. So girlfriend comes down from Dayton Oh, wants Penn Station, why I ask as its garbage but nonetheless raves about them in Dayton. States why would you order a large sub, its too much and sharing a large party size fry between us is too much. Then she experiences the Hartwell version. Skimpy, all bread, not one fry longer than an inch, crumbs but yet they made us wait for the fresh crumbs after they told me to come pick up. $35 dollars for 2 large steak and cheese and a bucket of crumbs. Smell of weed throughout, people waiting on bus inside the door, smoking, staggering and parking lot empty...(hmmm) I only wish I had taken pictures as I have many reviews praising and speaking truths with thousands and thousands of views.CLOSE this location, and create a bigger lot for the dispenserary across street. Praise to all Penn Stations in Dayton Ohio as I am told they are great.

The staff is always friendly and I like that they wait to drop the fries until I pick up the order so they are hot and fresh!

Called in Thursday at 9:40pm told I couldn’t place order by a female employee because they close at 9pm. Google says 10pm I live behind restaurant would took me 5 minutes to get there.
CONSISTENCY!! Great crew for the lunch time rush and even better food!!

Ordered on-line. Went in to pick up the order. Stood in front of the pick-up counter with two employees in front of me. No other customer near us. I stated that I had an order to pick up after waiting a minute to see if they would look up. Nothing. I repeated my request to pick up an order. Nothing. Another woman, the manager I think, finally helped me after ten minutes. The other employees never recognized my existence. Sad.
Penn Stations subs are not the same as they used to be. They barely have any meat on them and they are not as tasty. I dont go to Penn Statiin for my subs hardly anymore. This was a different location so I thought I would give it a try but same result. Bland, dry and almost meatless

They messed up my order. Which ok, it happens. But then I go back at 9:40 (they close at 10) and the doors are locked. I had to pound in the window to get their attention. Then I had to wait for the grill to heat up. To be fair, they did make it right the second time. Though they were not at all apologetic.

The need to mop and clean the floors it's dirty and the tables need cleaned to the extent we declined eating inside after seeing the dining area. They use thier gloves to touch your food as they make it PLUS touch everything else so really the gloves are just there to protect thier hands not to keep your food germ free. The fry's are sometimes good and sometimes taste like old burned oil. They barely put any topping on the subs. I will never eat here again unless it's fries bc I know they can't touch that hardly.

Quick service, accurate order and the cashier was amazing. I wish I caught her name but they don't wear nametags.

On August 22,2025..at 1-1:30 pm. I ordered a small sub, when I paid at the checkout counter, the lady had a glove on her left hand, cough into the glove, with the same glove she me my change back and then she went to wrap up the sandwiches and others orders.,with that same glove on..I just got so piss , I just had to leave before I hurt someone. How are you going to handle money, still wearing a glove, then cough into it and handle someone food..I was at the vine street, penn in heartwell..I just had to leave from in there.
Listen I never make reviews, but this was the best Penn Station experience I’ve ever had! The service was phenomenal, they went above & beyond. They were so kind & welcoming. The food was made to order, piping hot & delicious. I went on 8/16 around 2pm so whoever that lovely staff of 3 was, thank you!
