This food is mid.. Don't be fooled by th smell of the smoker. The Mac and cheese tasted like watered down cheese sauce and the cornbread was dry with some honey slapped on it. This place is not good at all. Highly disappointed.

The pulled pork was fantastic and I loved the sauce they gave me it wasn't BBQ sauce but it was delicious. I was a bit disappointed in the southern green beans as they didn't have much flavor. Especially since the side of green beans was four bucks. I kept looking for salt and pepper to spice up the green beans but none on the table.

Stopped in on the way home to try this well reviewed local spot and took it home to my family to try.
I got the brisket and ribs. The brisket was an off putting gray color that looked like it had been dunked in mop water and was full of unrendered fat, meaning it wasnt cooked correctly. You can tell they arent smoked because there is no smoke ring or bark. It was edible but it wasnt good so we threw it away.
Ribs were about the same caliber.
The people in this city wouldn't know what good BBQ was if it kicked them in the ass. Just because a restaurant is quaint or hip doesnt mean its food is also good.

There were no tables available, but yet they were taking orders. We were told we could take it to go, but we had nowhere to go due to traveling. They don't let you sit down until you order. If you would like to have a seat, be there early or carry out. They are busy so the food must be good!
I will try this restaurant again, I will just get there earlier!

I cane in looking to try out some Cincinnati bbq. I was greeted by friendly and attentive helpful staff ! They answered all my questions and made ordering a breeze. My only issue is the food! I ordered a 2 meat plate. Brisket, pulled pork, Mac & green beans. All had 0 flavor. I couldn't even taste smoke in my bbq meat! Guys please make some changes to the seasoning regimen! Only constructive criticism, ill love to come back & support but ill need some flavor to go with it!

Awesome Lil spot to hit up.. i had the platter.. was all good.. I loved the yellow dipping sauce.. staff was very friendly and accepted by boring sense of humor..would recommend easily.. I'll be back 4 sure.
First time eating at Pig Candy did not disappoint. I had the brisket grilled cheese and my wife had the brisket sandwich and coleslaw. Grilled cheese was nicely cooked with a good portion of brisket and my wife’s brisket sandwich was also excellent, as was the slaw. Super friendly staff in a cool place. So happy to have you here because the bbq place we used to go to abandoned us and moved to Avondale, the joke was on them I believe. We’ll be back! UPDATE! Had the Rueben sandwich today, absolutely incredible sandwich, very generous portion of the most incredible meat ever served! The mustard sauce was 🔥

The staff was awesome! The food wasn't that great and the portions were small, we got the pig Mac and gave us all a small container of bbq sauce and a small container of coleslaw. Is was over priced and the pulled pork was dry.
