Solid choice for BBQ. Staff was very friendly answering questions and offering recommendations. They have indoor seating along with a back patio and lower level picnic table area that is dog friendly. They also have a parking lot in the rear of the building.
Members of my party enjoyed the pulled pork and the turkey; the mac and cheese and the cornbread were outstanding! Service was very attentive and friendly!
The brisket is the best I've ever had! It was tender and moist. The fat was fully rendered and completely melts in your mouth. I'm the type who usually dislikes the fatty bits, but it was so well done that it didn't bother me at all. It's also the only BBQ place in the area that has a good creamy white BBQ sauce (Alabama style). The chicken chili was good and the mac and cheese was creamy and was a good side to pair with bold BBQ flavors. My partner had the Mac with pulled pork and really enjoyed it. The banana pudding was also good.
There is inside and outside seating. The inside is a bit cramped due to a lack of space but the patio out back is more than sufficient.
Food was excellent. By far, the best bbq shop around Cincy right now.
Fantastic quality bbq. What you’re looking at is $12 ($8 for sandwich, $4 for cowboy beans).
I travel for work and have had many of the “top bbqs in the country”, is it by any means “extravagant bbq”? No.
Is it high quality, tasty, and lets the meat be the star (unlike many Cinci BBQ places). Glad I chose to stop in today.
Amazing bbq.
Excellent!!!
I voiced my opinion on multiple issues with inconsistencies, I used to eat there quite often, probably at least 3 times a week. The manager came out and said that 80% of their complaints are from me and that I am frustrating their staff when I complain about things. Issues I’ve had here include: 1. Eye lash hairs in my soup. 2. I asked for extra crackers and a spoon for my soup and they left it out (multiple times) 3. Bowl of soup not filled to the top. If I’m paying $8 for a bowl of soup, I expect it to be filled. 4. Grilled cheese not cooked, leaving the cheese cold inside. 5. Left out condiments that I’ve asked for. So basically all the issues are with inconsistency. And I’ve nicely told them about my issues. I don’t expect anything for free, but when I’m paying premium prices for food ($7 for 2 pieces of bread and some cheese, and $8 for a bowl of soup) I expect things to be done correctly, every single time. He said the eye lash hair was probably mine, which is incorrect. The hairs were there when I opened the bowl. People don’t like to be called out for mistakes, but it’s how you handle it and fix it, that’s what matters. Coming up to me and saying that I’m 80% of their complaints is rude. I’m sorry that I’m not one to stay silence and I do not beat around the bush with things. If there’s something I’m not happy with, I’m going to tell you, nicely, and straight to the point. The manager also said “well maybe you shouldn’t eat here.”
My wife and I came to town to visit family and they suggested BBQ, so we ended up in a quaint brick building with pigs painted on it. Inside was laid out perfectly for the space available and the young lady at the register was absolutely polite. the lunch was perfect , the staff was perfect the entire experience was perfect.
Great food no matter what you order, the pulled pork waffle got me in the door for the first time. Growing up in the Cincinnati area in the 80’s and 90’s Montgomery Inn was it, boy did they have us fooled for years, I’ll never give them another nickel for any food they prepare. Then some bbq chains came through, alright change, but nothing spectacular. Then came Eli’s, my wife and I had our first date in 2015. Place has a different vibe, limited menu, they seemed to lose quality as quickly as they were expanding, was disappointing to see. Then pops up Pig Candy and I can honestly say I’ve never been disappointed by any plate I’ve been served here. There is a nice selection of sauces, but only if you are into that kind of thing. The meat is so perfectly smoked and seasoned that any sauce is just an afterthought. If I had to choose, I’d pick the gold mustard based sauce, it just seems to go with everything on the protein list. Monday’s are celebrated here with rib day, it’s not to be missed #noribsforphilip There are other specials throughout the week, my wife loves the baked potato day, but I only order the Brisket if it’s not Monday. On Sunday’s they do a brunch menu, I’m just not a morning person, maybe you are?? Add an ice cold can of Coke to go with a rotating selection of homemade deserts and you are ready to enjoy one of the best prepared plates of BBQ available in the Cincinnati area. Tell them Brad sent you, you can thank me later…..

The Gluten Free options brought us in for the first time, but the great food and great service keeps us coming back again and again.
I have had smoked meat from lots of places over the years and we saw this place on #chowdowncincinnati and decided to give it a try. Man am I glad we did, I got the 3 meats and 1 side. I got the brisket, I always get the brisket and this was some of the best that I have ever had, so tender and juicy it almost melted in my mouth. I also got the smoked turkey same results probably the best I have ever had. lastly, for the meat anyway, I got the smoked sausage and I gotta say wow, it was tender and juicy as well. My side was the cheesy grits, and they too were some of the best I have ever had. My wife got the smoked chicken chili, which she graciously let me taste, and it was definitely the best I have had. We will definitely be back here to try other things, maybe. 😁
The food is very good, and the employees are very nice. Even when my kids walked up to get some food, the owner was not rude; instead, she gave them a free drink. Lovely people.

Stopped here on a road trip and it was absolutely delicious! Great vibe, cozy and low key with phenomenal food (GF and vegan options too for those looking). We ordered the pulled pork waffle, 2 meat platter and some sides and ate everything. We can’t wait to come back to try more!
