Tasty wine, great service, flavorful food! We had two glasses of chilled reds and the deviled eggs and fries. Really exceeded our expectations. Came on Saturday without a reservation and they managed to squeeze us in, but I'd def recommend reserving a spot here! Will definitely come again if I'm ever in town.

In my beloved OTR, in an old Italianette building that was painted purple, close to two gorgeous murals, this restaurant has all the charm that you want in a downtown restaurant. Got the steak and frites, a Wednesday evening special, and it was delicious. I love steak and this one was great. The frites were nice and crunchy and wonderfully seasoned. The service was phenomenal. Kurt was charming, knew the menu well, and was always refilling my water which I greatly appreciated. For dessert he recommended Kayla's chocolate cake, which was an employee's delightful creation. I feel like the almond butter paste in the layers was a little overpowering for the other delicate flavors in the rest of the cake but I'd still order it again. It's tiny indoors and the outdoor patio is tiny but SO cozy too. It was perfect. There were umbrellas, great seating, our beloved Kurt didn't forget about us even though we were the only ones outside for a while. I definitely want to come back on a crisp fall evening as they had plenty of patio heaters just for that.

What a Great Dinner Experience!! I even tried Lamb for the first time. It was actual tasty! This was our first time here such a cute, clean and intimate restaurant. There is a nice outdoor space and indoor space they only take reservations because the restaurant is fairly small. I love the open kitchen concepts and all the portions are just enough. Our waiter Kurt was the Best. Kurt told us everything on the menu and he was very knowledgeable about the menu. Kurt also told us what was good to have for dinner for appetizers and what was the best cocktail and wines that they offer. Will definitely be back!

I wanted to like this place a lot, but at the end of the day they had some good ideas that were hampered by small but significant flaws in execution that I couldn't overlook.The beet pickled deviled eggs were great in concept but they lacked any sense of balance, it was just pure acidity hitting my palette with no other note to cancel it out.The charred cabbage tasted really nice but was presented in such large pieces that I was unable to eat it very easily. It's not great to cut a piece of cabbage that is soaked in oil with a steak knife.The oyster mushrooms are a brilliant idea for a dish, they were texturally great and had the mouthfeel of meat in a lot of ways, but the sauce they were served in was cloyingly sweet and drowned out any other flavors that might have been in the dish, as if they were afraid to let the ingredients speak for themselves.The parmesan ice cream tasted pretty good, but was gritty in texture, so the mouthfeel was overly grainy, and over-churned such that it didn't have a silky consistency, but kind of broke apart in my mouth instead.In the restaurants defense they did comp this when I brought it up, but I let the other dishes slide without a comment. They were fine, but not great. The service was adequate and the ambiance was nice. Though a pet peeve of mine is that they only accepted my reservation for one to sit at the bar, meanwhile there was a completely empty dining room all around me the entire time I ate there. It would have been nice to have a table.It was pretty disappointing. The meal was so close to greatness but little bits of execution held it back. If I'm in town again I'll likely give them another try.

The food was amazing! From the Fried blue cheese olives for an app, Waygu Burger and Chicken entree to the best part.. the Pavlova! My lord, my life has been changed. Abby our waitress was perfectly funny, sweet and patient with us ❤️. We will for sure be back!

Made a reservation for dinner. Park at nearby parking or on the street. Upon arrival we were promptly greeted and seated inside. The outside patio was not ready for the weather. The interior of the recently renovated building was simple to modernistic. The woodwork of the bar and tables is attractive. Eating is a multiple small to medium plate blend experience. The menu is limited yet varied, making choosing easy. The tables are bare, no table cloth. The food was presented attractively, was tasty and at the right temperature. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. A pleasant simpler dining experience is a casual contemporary boutique setting.

The staff seems to enjoy working with each other, and other customers seemed really enthusiastic about the menu. I just got a glass of the orange wine, which the bartender recommended! It was delicious and exactly what I needed to relax. The body and flavor profile of the wine were exactly what I needed. I am not usually a fan of orange wine, but this one has got me thinking differently. I also got a side of fries, which were delicious and came with a yummy side of ranch. they were perfectly crispy and the seasoning was the perfect mix of spice/smokiness, saltiness, and delicious potato-ness. I really liked my first visit at Pleasantry and I will be sure to come back for more. This place is a great choice, especially for a Cincinnati native looking for something new. Also, I noticed that I have the exact same ladder shelf that is in their entrance area. So that's fun! Great decorators think alike, I suppose.

What a perfect name. A random Wednesday night out with friends has never felt so wonderful. From the moment we stepped foot into the space we felt immediately welcomed as if we’d been there before. The staff, ambiance, music and overall feel of the restaurant was so familiar and fit the charm of the neighborhood. Then came the service, wine and food. Each step of the experience better than the one before. Loved the owner ( such swag :)He chose the perfect wine for us based on our “unrefined” description of what we like, lol. Our server @carrierstheband was warm and personable, fun, and incredibly kind. We loved him so much we invited him over for dinner and music! We had a mind blowing cabbage dish, insane trout and some bomb little fried olives… just wow.You know it’s a fabulous night when you want to savor every bite for eternity and become bffs with every person in the spot! Big love!
