First time at this blue-collar joint, and enjoyed it very much. Western omelet, bacon, and fried potatoes with onions - not the healthiest, probably, but tasty. And inexpensive. Found parking right across the street - meter was $2.50 for two hours. We'll be back.
We came on Friday at noon, only to see a sign that they were closed, getting supplies closing time was posted at 1:00 PM. Came in the next day on a Saturday at noon: very busy with a closing time of 1:00 PM. We ordered the famous chicken dinners and were told there was no chicken available. Tried to order the steak burger, which is also on the menu. We were told that they didn't have that, either, just frozen hamburger patties. Apparently, only breakfast was being served....
A cozy and nostalgic breakfast spot with a relaxed diner ambiance. The service is friendly, and the interior and prices transport you back to the 70s in the best possible way. We enjoyed the French Toast, Cheese Omelette, and a side of Spicy Goetta—all tasted delicious and comforting, with the Goetta adding a great kick that complemented the other dishes. Note the place is cash only, so be sure to bring some before you stop by.
