Went here on a Saturday afternoon, they were very busy with big parties for prom and birthdays. Because of this we had to sit outside, not a bad place but the benches were kinda hard. Anyway we had a good time and enjoyed ourselves. Brittney, our server was just a joy to deal with, even though she had one of the parties to deal with, she was still able to check up on us and keep things proper. She needs a raise. The food was great, we will be back

Spent a leisurely afternoon here at the bar, chatting with Frank (a co-owner) and Cathy, an attentive and friendly server. Excellent food and drink at reasonable prices. Bonus! Great view from Mt. Adams and historical setting in the original Rookwood Pottery factory. Highly recommend!

I'm sorry, but even though they reopened in November under new owners and management, I don't have much faith that this version will make it.When we entered, all we saw were a few tables with very old folks dining. It was like happy hour in a retirement home.Service gets an excuse because they only had a few months & our servers (with trainee) were good as can be.Now, here's the deal.....The menu is weird.Everything has a picture attached to the item. It's helpful, but also kinda childish. Japanese restaurants do this because folks don't know certain dishes by name. But to have a picture of fish & chips, is overkill. The food had Asian dishes, because the new owner used to own Teak Thai. But it also had varitable pub food or American Faire items. Pizza, burgers, potstickers. We went for fried mushrooms for the app. They were the size of golf balls, so the breading fell right off & the interior was ice cold & slimy. Those were tossed.I decided to stick with crab Rangoon & potstickers for the rest of my meal. They were both store bought frozen. Not bad, but meh.My friend had fish & chips and didn't care for it. It was cold on the inside. Like they didn't cook to temp, nor check to see if it was at temp. The best part was the servers being cool with us & that large patio. We just ended up drinking more.Ok, so I don't do bad reviews, as it hurts a business & everyone involved. Plus, covid-19 is still a thing they have to deal with. I also have been a part of the restaurant industry for a while, so this is in no way an attack on this restaurant.I'd hope they do an overhaul & rethink the brand + menu. Like Kitchen Nightmares style.I suggest German historical style menu along with pub Faire. Keep it simple & easy to execute.I really hope ?? they revamp, regroup and take charge in order to succeed. This place does not need to be closed again.

The building is the special part of this dining experience. The menu looks like it’s from a diner, large and plastic. The food choices are diner choices with few fresh options. I had steak. It was bland and overdone. Disappointing, I hoped the reopening would match the charm of the location.

Came here on a Wednesday night for date night. Not very busy and the servers are really nice and personable. The building is cozy and historic. They just got their liquor license so I had a gin and tonic. The food was delicious, we had potstickers as an appetizer and both got burgers, "The Basic" and "The Big Bacon". Everything tasted excellent. Highly recommend

I haven't been in at least 10 years but I just got married and we live in Mt. Adams. We decided to go here today with my dad before the auto show today. It was amazing!!! They gave us their Rookwood porridge as a sample at the beginning, and it was so good! My pork chop was fantastic, my husband loved his chicken livers (they were fried chicken livers is like stir fry), and my dad said his chicken fried steak was some of the best he's had in a long time. We will definitely be returning and bringing my mom and sister!!

I like this place, but you have to go in with certain expectations. I've been here several times and now realize the experience has two halves, one half is the amazing building the restaurant is in, the other half is the restaurant business itself. The owners need to bring more value and quality. The staff always seems to be in a hurry and there isn't a lot of polish in their presentation. A lot of little things go amiss, like when we ordered cappuccinos and they came in diner-style coffee cups with no saucers and no spoon. The restaurant flatware is very cheaply made. We had to ask for ketchup with our hash browns and when it came the bottle was still sealed and was an off brand. The music they play is inturrupted by commercials played over the speakers. The prices aren't cheap, but a lot of things about the experience are. This is simple stuff that can be fixed to make the whole experience more worthwhile.

Had a great dinner tonight! There were four of us and we got to sit in the kiln which was a very cool experience. I got the Asian noodle soup with tofu and was very impressed with the flavor of this dish. Our waitress was the sweetest, we will be returning soon.

Came with a group of 20+. They handled the group really really well. Food came out very quickly. I had the filet with mashed potatoes and broccoli. All were very good. Great experience ??

One of the best meals I've had in a long time. Solid place, the restaurant is beautiful, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the food was very reasonable for the portion size. If you haven't been, you need to check it out

Very nice wait staff, but unamazing food. I enjoyed the quiet, older setting. I used to visit often....40 years ago!! So it was fun to visit again. Quaint and peaceful. They say they're going to keep improving. They should. But I'll return. It's friendly and relaxing.

This place is trying to be American but is still very much Asian. The food was below average and it smelled like mildew. Very disappointing since we used to love the previous restaurant. They also don’t have a liquor license yet.

Was very impressed with the food and service. I got fish and chips and the wife got the steak hoagie. Both meals were delicious. Staff was very friendly and quick. Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. Can't wait to return
