Best steak I ever ate!
Great food
Great atmosphere
Excellent customer service
Will definitely visit again
I was in the area for an event, and decided to go to Ruth’s Chris since I had never been. I love Jeff Ruby’s, Jag’s, and other nice steakhouses in the city - and I expected a similar experience. While I had no problem with the atmosphere or service, I have to say my ribeye was terrible. No flavor, and tough. They did tell me when I sat down that they only seasoned with salt and pepper which I thought was odd, but gave the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe a superior meat quality would make it worthwhile. Unfortunately this was far from the case. I don’t mind paying top dollar for a great food experience, but this was sub-par at best. I hate to even compare the steak to Ponderosa, because it’s disrespectful to Ponderosa, but a Ponderosa steak was slightly better than this one. My recommendation if you want a great steak in Cincinnati folks is to go to Jeff Ruby’s, Jag’s, or Eddie Merlot’s. Skip Ruth’s Chris unless your dog really needs some leftovers.
This is THE place to visit when in the Cincinnati area! Greeted upon entering the restaurant, friendly staff and terrific menu options. Shawn at the bar will serve you quickly and offer great suggestions for dinner depending on what you are craving. Thank you, we will return - go REDS!!!
I think I over-hyped it in my head. Hear me out, I've been wanting to go to Ruth's Chris since I watched a special about them on cable TV( yes it was that long ago). What better way to celebrate my birthday then with a famous Ruth Chris steak!?
Our service the entire night was impeccable! Our server Brody was knowledgeable, attentive, and personable! A winning combination in my book.
The drinks were delicious and not over sweetened.
I ordered from the chef's summer selection: the fillet (11oz upgrade for only $8 more) with jumbo lobster tail as well as a caesar salad and the lobster Mac and cheese
My husband ordered the Ruth's classic which is a prix fixe meal. He choose: caeser salad, steak and lobster ( ribeye upcharge), creamed spinach, and dessert was a cheesecake.
The caesar salads were very good, and covered in shaved cheese, the sides were our favorite thing about the entire dinner. The lobster Mac and cheese is a 10 out of 10 for sure and the spinach was amazing.
Our main meal is where we were disappointed. His lobster tail was the size of a large shrimp, where mine was outstanding. Both of our steaks came out over cooked. We ordered medium rare, his was well done and mine was medium well. Our second steaks were slightly under cooked but letting them rest on the 500° plate made them perfect.
I received a complimentary birthday dessert which happened to be the same cheesecake my husband got but mine was very thoughtfully plated with a custom birthday message and candle.
In conclusion: the service, the drinks, the sides, and the jumbo lobster tail were all amazing!! The main reason we went there, the steaks, those were the let down. We hate sending food back and we probably wouldn't have if we weren't spending over $100 a person. I realize accidents happen, I'm not judging on that. Both of our steaks as well as the steaks at the range next to us were overcooked. I think they were having an off night. That's why I only took away 1 star.
It's a very nice restaurant with amazing service and good food.
Best Fine Dinning in Cincinnati!
It's always an amazing experience. Food is always perfect. The staff are some of the most well-rounded professional people I've come across in years. For sure I know the kitchen is very clean, and the staff is dedicated to serving the best experience possible to their guests. My 1st choice in a steak house
Our server was great - personable and honest with his suggestions. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. And the food... the food was delicious. Nothing missed. It's a pricey place but it's fantastic. I would absolutely recommend if you're looking for a nice place for a date, a celebration, or just a nice dinner.
I went to Ruth Chris in hopes of having an enjoying experience and instead was met with the rudest manager ever. He was clearly racist and made several remarks regarding my race and appearance. He then being going on a rant and used racial slurs loosely and with comfort. As an avid fine dining seeker this was more than disheartening to witness.
Great food and attentive waiter and staff!

We went here for a special occasion, our first time dining at a ruths chris. We were both super happy with our time here. Our steaks were delicious and perfectly cooked, not under/over: just right. My wife had a blackberry drink or some sort, it was delicious and filled to the top of the glass each time. The surf and turf was magnificent.
The garlic mash was delicious as well, and we had the chocolate sin cake i believe it was called: it was rich, but so tasty.
We couldn't be happier for a first outing. We will absolutely be back, the service was good as well.

My family of 4 adults went on a birthday celebration. We all ordered individual meals but decided to share sides. I ordered scalloped potatoes for my side dish with a ribeye steak. First the potatoes were sliced thick, second it was cold in the middle. I asked the server about it. They gave me a new one well guess what. It was still cold in the middle. We just cancelled the side but it was a disappointment.
The steaks were amazing, the other sides were also good but how can a chef screw up a simple side dish? Even I can whip up scalloped potatoes. I felt like it was made in advance and placed in a freezer. Taken out when ordered and placed in the salamander. At least stick a thermometer in it before serving.
At the prices of dinning out lately. I would expect some good food especially restaurants like this.
By the way, it wasn't very busy. At that time, early dinner. There were at least 4 parties dinning including us and maybe a couple.

That was the best ribeye I've had in a long time. I had a really great time with my group. The waitress was super sweet too. I'll definitely be telling others about this place.
