great, high quality fish at fair prices! staff is also super friendly and knowledgeable.
The people who work here are SO nice and the oysters with mignonette are to die for!!!
Food got me sick. BEWARE
If you're a sushi snob and yearn to make your own sushi at home, this is the place for you. I picked up sushi-grade tuna and salmon last weekend to make nigiri at home. It was AMAZING. I am super picky when it comes to sushi freshness and it was *chef's kiss*. I can't wait to go back and get more!
Poke is awesome and already made so there’s no wait. This is now my go- to for a lunch at Findlay Market
Fresh sushi grade fish is great for making poke bowls at home.
Tuesday and Wednesday they do $1 off oysters which were amazing and flown in fresh daily!
I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place yet. Sen is one of my happy places.
Exceptional seafood selection and the best, most knowledgeable staff you could find.
I mostly stop for oysters at the counter. They have a great rotating selection and very fair prices. Classic toppings on the side. I prefer the mignonette, but the house hot sauce is also very good (warning: quite spicy!).
I love this place.
Very knowledgeable staff, to guide you through their amazing products. Oyster selection is particularly awesome
Great selection every time we stop! Whether you’re in for a couple shucked oysters or some fish to take home, they have you covered. Ben is super hospitable. Must stop every time we come through.
Amazing oysters and friendly vibe!!!!

I only come here for salmon and tuna when I'm making sushi. The people working here are experts and offer great advice.
My biggest challenge has been wanting to shop for quality locally sourced food, but understanding that I may need to go to multiple markets to find everything I need. Findlay Market has EVERYTHING.. from eggs, to produce, to fresh meat, seafood, seasonings, and etc. I can grab a beer and shop. I love it. Disclaimer: Don’t come near closing time because they start packing up before they close. Which I get but just make your hours end earlier than saying you’re open to the public until that time. 4 o’clock means 4 o’clock lol. If you want out by 4 then say you’re done earlier than that. They will say they will close early if it’s not busy, but I’ve seen a packed house and multiple shops completely shut down already lol. Golden nugget: the meat market in the middle has the most remarkable blueberry maple sausage. You’re welcome.
I bought Branzino from this place couple of times and I have never had a bad experience. However, this time when I got home and was about to clean the fish, I couldn’t help but notice that most of the fish did not seem as fresh as usual. There was a strong odor that suggested some of the fish have been past its prime and was just not edible at all.
Since I spent over $60 and did not touch the fish at all, I decided to go back and ask them to replace the fish with a fresh ones or give me my money back. I asked nicely and respectfully, but the owner was rude and refused to replace or refund me. After some back-and-forth, he agreed to partially refund me and literally said, “I don’t expect you to come back here.” That’s not how you treat your customers or run a business, it's not my fault that you are selling old fish.
I believe there is room for improvement in ensuring that all seafood sold is of the highest freshness and quality. Customers should feel confident in the freshness of their seafood, especially when prices are not cheap. Implementing stricter quality control measures could greatly enhance the customer experience. Regular checks for freshness, clear labeling of “catch dates,” and perhaps a more rigorous rotation policy for their stock might prevent older fish from being sold.
As for me, as the owner suggested, I won’t be shopping from this place anymore, but I wish them the best and I hope they improve the quality of their seafood and their service.
Me and my six-year-old daughter love ordering oysters from Sen! It’s also my favorite place to get sushi grade fish.
Got a few oysters while at Findlay, and they were great.Food - 10/10 definitely stopping by here again if I ever want good raw oysters or if I’m in the area.Ambience - hustle bustle of the marketService - 10/10 staff is all friendly and the gentleman who served us (which I believe was the owner) was super knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful.
