Had the rum punch tonight. No rum flavor at all. For having 1 part light and 1 part dark rum. I should taste some rum. Possibly diluting your rum too much or not adding rum without a tip???

Long overdue for this review. Friend and I stopped at Robert James on our way to the bourbon trail from Columbus, Ohio. Was very surprised by the delicious tater tots, wings (OMG) and chill vibe. Their bourbon was decent too. It's a small micro distillery and you can see the entire distillation and bottling process which is neat. This is a small gem that I would like to see existing for a very long time.

Great food! Amazing food. We came for the whisky and we were blown away by the great tasting food. Best wings. The service is wonderful. The owner of the bar is so friendly and engaging. I’ve not seen such raw passion for delivering a great experience for his customers.Go for the whisky. Go for the great food - or both!

Went here with a few friends and had an awesome time. The staff treated us like royalty and the owner recognized one person in our group as one of their regulars. The wings were outstanding and you can order them per wing instead of it being a fixed amount, which is always my preference. This was my fist time there and I would recommend it to anyone. It's a great location, the inside is really cool with the exposed barrels displayed, and it was very clean. Plenty of TVs inside the bar area too. Our group will be going back again soon.

We randomly found this place on yelp tonight and decided to stop in. Its in the middle of nowhere but such a hidden gem! Great food, and great spirits! I loved the bourbon mule! We will definitely be back soon!

This place is seriously tucked away. It feels a little like you're in the wrong place until you're actually inside. Maybe I was here on an off night, but I wasn't as impressed by this place as everyone else seems to be. I had a blackberry sour which tasted like a Life Saver to me but some other folks claimed sorbet. It was pretty good but the space felt a bit... Empty to me, I guess. Like a show room in a barn. I was also surprised that they close at ten on a Friday.

This is not a "drive by" but be sure you slow down when on Highland passing Orchard Rd. There are signs on the sidewalk, but you need to drive up the alley to park at the back for entering the tasting area. A group of about 20 were easily accommodated at two large tables made from doors with long benches. There are both rums and vodkas for tasting in a variety of flavors like blackberry and pumpkin. Mixed drinks range from 7-14$. A side kitchen makes barbque and Mexican bar foods. Creative tater tots, jalapeí±o poppers, and fried onions are a few of the appetizers. Of course plain and more adventurous pork and beef sandwiches and tacos are also available. The waitress and kitchen were very attentive but you'll need to write your order down and hand it to them on pages provided. The music was great. We had a personal tour from the owner. Our table was reserved ahead of to

Stopped in tonight because we both wanted bbq. I love bbq and it takes a fair amount to impress me a ton and smoke and water has done just that. This was our first time at shumrick and leys and it was also impressive. I had the basil lavender lemonade and my girlfriend got the BlackBerry mule, they were both excellent! We each got a pulled pork sandwich with their original bbq sauce and it was killer, the pork was tender and moist, the sauce was just the right consistency and the bun was just incredible, crunchy but soft and totally complementary to the whole thing. Everyone there was so nice and everything was very quick, the guy playing songs on piano was fantastic too! My only real complaint isn't a complaint at all I just wish there were sides for the food because I want more of their deliciousness.
