People standing all around, waiting for a table, next to my table while we were eating, watching me eat(several were stare-ers). At one point I counted 19 people standing (waiting for a table) inside the restaurant next to tables. (Saturday at 5pm) The hostess’ were having a hard time bringing people in to set at their table, due to the jam of people waiting inside the sit down eating area, as well as people having a hard time trying to leave, because of the jam of people standing/waiting inside the eating area. There is a waiting area and even outside benches. Other than that, love it.

This is a mostly open-air bar estaurant. Lots of garage doors and fans to keep you cool. Peanuts and popcorn are free for your table. The Chicken sandwich was great. We also had the quarter chicken, sweet potatoes, and the Mac and cheese. All of it was good. Service was fast and friendly.

Place is HUGE and was JAM packed. There are 3 bars in here and endless tables. We arrived at 7pm on a Friday and were told it was a 90 minute wait. We went to the bar for a drink and eventually found seats there. At which point we just stayed and ate at the bar. Chicken was good. Very tender. Sides were not the best, but definitely would return and recommend. Has a lot of TVs … good place to watch a game.

Lots and lots of space, reasonably priced food. Plenty of seating at the bar with tons of options.
Went to the Silver Spring House last evening for my uncle's 85th birthday. Upon arriving, we stopped at the host station to be seated. My sister gave them my uncle's last name, assuming that the reso was made under his name, and the young man said there was no reso with that last name. She then suggested his friends last name, who we had thought he may have made the reso, but again no reso under his name either. The young man then asks how many people the reso was for, and my sister said, 20. He then said they had two parties of that size and gave both names, neither of which we recognized.He then picks up menus and asks the next couple how many in their party and proceeds to walk off without finishing taking care of us. The other two hosts half ignored my sister and looked past her to seat other people that had come in.I understand their job is to greet and sit, but just to ignore someone who had been standing there waiting to be seated and not even asking if we'd be helped or helping to find our party was just rude. The young man then returns to the host stand, walks right past my sister, ignores her again, and proceeds to seat more patrons, not even bothering to ask if we'd found our party.I spent nearly 40 years working in and managing bars and casual dining restaurants, and their behavior would have never been tolerated under my watch.I've never been to the Spring House, and after this experience, having not even been seated, I'll never go back.Sorry, I can't give a review on the food or atmosphere, but if this is an example of their service, I'd hate to imagine what the rest of the experience would have been like.

Great place to stop for lunch. Always a good crowd, great service, and great food/beverages. Have been to this place multiple times over many years and it's still a great place to stop.
