For a little while, they were doing better. Fast, friendly, everything. Has recently gone back to poorly trained staff that doesn't care. Visibly talking while ignoring customers, 10+ minutes after the food was given spent waiting on one milkshake.

I just went through the drive-through off of Ridge in Oakley and ordered a bacon BBQ steak burger. The gentleman who took my order could not have been more sweet and kind. Today I had a really bad day and the gentleman who took my order showed me an act of kindness that really lifted my spirits. Not to mention when I got home the sandwich was hot, and tasted really good! I hardly ever go to Steak And Shake but I am a huge fan now. The best experience I’ve had in a very long time with fast food chains. Ignore all the negative comments. This location is the BEST.

I haven’t been to a stake and shake for years, thought they had all closed, remember it being really good food and couldn’t tell if it was just cause last time I ate there I was 16 and didn’t know what good food was, or if it actually was great food. Oh boy is it just as good as I remember, better even! Was such a delight to eat here! Will definitely be back for more. (I put a photo of what I ate, it was a single cheeseburger with garlic butter buns with added lettuce tomato and onions)
So, in the past I've given a rough review here. However, this place has completely redeemed themselves! Excellent speedy service, perfect food! If you weren't a fan of steak n shake before, give it another shot, I bet you won't be disappointed 😁

Just when I thought this place was turning a new leaf, boy was I wrong. I ordered two number 9s, a number 5, and a cookies and cream shake. My food was ice cold. Both of my number 9s had no bacon. The guy in the drive-thru seemed very flustered and lost. I was surprised because normally the food is fresh. I learned my lesson: don’t come back at night and check your food before driving off. With all the Steak 'n Shakes closing left and right, you would think they would be striving for success, but instead, they serve subpar garbage. My water was also yellow with a weird cloudy look to it. The shake was also watery.
