This was a really bad experience we did go today on New Year’s Eve which I expected there to be a wait which is fine… it’s busy! We wait for 20 minutes for a table then we are called back our server takes our drink order then ask if we are ready to order we are so we order and about 40 minutes goes by and she comes to our table saying she forgot to put in our order but she I’ll give us some free mimosas which is fine! This place closes at 2:30 we didn’t get our food until 2:40ish then when we did I just asked for boxes and some syrup mustard and hot sauce the syrup was in the bag but no other sauce so I go back to the restaurant and ask for some sauce she hands me one of each and basically slams the door in my face really bad experience I was actually looking forward to this since we came from out of town probably wont eat here again maybe a different location

We waited an entire hour for our food—no exaggeration, it was a full hour. We were there for almost 2 hours in total. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and clearly had been sitting under a heat lamp for too long. My daughter’s pancakes were hard around the edges, and my mom’s eggs Benedict were ice cold. The server took my mom’s dish off the bill and we were able to get new pancakes, but the whole situation was still frustrating.
The food is overpriced and nothing to write home about. For the same price, you can go to a much better brunch spot in OTR and get much higher-quality food. Just incredibly disappointing.

Bright, open and inviting diner. Good food for the price. Service is relatively quick even when it's busy. Best part is the choice of rubber duck at the end of the meal.
Parking: Paid parking lot across the street, paid garage one block north, otherwise street parking meters
Kid-friendliness: Good place to bring well-behaved kids

I am writing my review after being in the restaurant for 1 hour and 45 minutes. First 40 was waiting for a table and the remaining hour and 15 minutes is waiting for food.
It is impossible to recommend any restaurant in which they are serving breakfast and the wait is this long.
We are being told it is due to the kitchen being behind; but there are not that many people here.
We have seen two parties leave because they cannot wait any longer for food. And at this point we may should have ordered dinner instead of breakfast.
If you are going to come here do yourself a favor and clear out a few hours for what I can only assume at this point is mediocre food.
1:57 update - we got the first part of our food. It’s average breakfast.
2:10 update - we got one more dish but learned they are out of fruit.
2:12 update - they forgot my sons omelet and are now making it.
2:18 update - we got the omelet!
Final update - we have our check and they added a 18% gratuity automatically. Lovely.

Horrible don't waste your time. 30 min waiting for Bis and Gravy that was worse than jail food. Took 2 bites and said nope can't. It look like they dug it out the trash. Server didn't care. I left never again.

I love this place and go like 5-6 times a year. This is the first time I didn’t have an exceptional experience. They were out of a number of things including ice. The pancakes were a little hard and old feeling. The sausage was almost inedible. But the server that morning, Amber, was incredible. She was serving a ton of people at once and knocking it out of the park, going above and beyond to make sure our experience was as good as possible. She was the only the reason on this particular occasion that the experience was worth it.

Grandson wanted to eat here as a birthday brunch. We tried to reserve for a big party, but they weren't accommodating. So some of our party chose not to come, they were the smart ones. Nothing was seasoned, food was bland 🤮🤮Granddaughters’s French toast was raw and doughy, and sausage tough. Son and other guest salmon crochet was burnt, with no seasoning, missing the normal ingredients used to make crochet but had green and red bell peppers 🤬🤮. Scrambled eggs with cheese taste like playdough with fake cheese. Grandson’s omelet had to be remade because they put something on it that he can't eat, thank God he caught it before eating it. This is not a place I can recommend, well at least this location. I heard the original place in Roselawn is the best, so I will try them.

First off they didn’t have multiple items available, I ordered a Ruben sandwich and it was the worst thing I’ve had the meat was forsure spoiled and extremely rancid, I decide to get it to go and let it be. My stomach has been upset since then and I cannot forget the taste and smell it was absolutely awful.

Great . Just wish they still had the Famous Lulu. They changed their menu to different items. Miss the original items.

Very nice place to get a bite to eat, had a very unique '50s era vibe to it. The food was good, the only bad thing was the service. Other then that very fun experience.

First time visit was pleasant. Great service, clean environment, food came out quickly and staff were all great.
Breakfast platter was good, coffee was fresh. Pancakes were pretty plain and nothing special sadly.
Inside doesn't look like it's changed much since 1941 and still looks great.
Will return again.

Overall would skip. Food was uneventful and bland, coffee and sweet tea tasted extremely watered down. The front host was nice but our waiter seemed disgruntled and avoidant. Looks wise the place is very cute.
