Went to the lounge for the jazz music- fabulous. Venue is very intimate. Bartender gave personalized service. Light bite menu varied.

We had a reservation for the restaurant on a Friday night at 7:30 pm. We came for the jazz music and the trio playing were great and really did a good job. The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and nice.My wife and I both ordered a cocktail at 12.95 a piece. My Manhattan was fine, but my wife's dark knight was not so great. The glass arrived about only a third full and it tasted like they forgot to add the gin. The entrees were good, I got a special, duck with carrots and beets. My wife got the crab cakes with creamed spinach and roasted potatoes. We ordered a creme brulee for dessert. We were told the kitchen was backed up (after about 20 minutes or so) and the dessert would be free. I wish it just hadn't arrived. Creme brulee is creamy and rich, but what arrived was more like a paste with a burnt crust on top (not the good kind, but blackened). I can't understand why the kitchen would have even sent that out.The service itself was OK, we had to request water more than once and didn't have check ins on the drinks or other times. It seemed as if our waiter was the only one on the floor.Overall for $114 (w/tax) we had expected better service and more consistent food/beverages. Maybe a return for a drink (straight pour) and jazz? However we are not in any rush to return.

What a great hidden gem! We stayed at this hotel for a getaway in Cincinnati. Each room is unique. The location is awesome if you're exploring OTR. The innkeeper was responsive via text message. Check in and out were flawless. There's a cute little rooftop patio for hanging out on.Guests should be aware that the stairs are narrow and a bit steep; no elevator. Its an older property and that comes with the territory. It might be convenient for them to have a baggage room, but I suspect if you asked the inn keeper they could work something out, and the mozart garage isn't far. The innkeeper worked with us to let us get the car parked a few hours early so we could spend more time exploring OTR.When we stayed the place was nearly empty. The restaurant and lounge look really nice for a weekend but on weeknights it was dead. It was fine, we were looking for a quiet relaxing place to go, but just be advised that there's nothing on site unless you coord it with the innkeeper most weeknights. That was fine -- all of OTR is an easy walk or streetcar ride away and we wanted to explore.Overall, what a cute little hotel! We're glad we stayed here instead of opting for a better known brand name option in the downtown district.Rooms: We had the Copland room. Well appointed, comfortable bed, cute antique furniture. The shower was clean and modern. Each room is unique -- we'd be interested to try a few others.Safety: I wasn't sure about the area as parts of OTR are a bit sketchy. The hotel itself was fine. There is a police substation right down the street, between the hotel and its associated Mozart garage. Most times when we were walking to or from the hotel there was a patrol car idling less than 200 yards away. Washington park is well lit and also patrolled and right next door. Access to the hotel is controlled via a pin code door lock.Walkability: The garage is a short walk away. All of OTR is an easy stroll. The free streetcar stop is about a hundred yards from the hotel at Washington Park, and you can hop on and go up to Findley Market or down to the bank.In the evening we were able to easily wander to a few bars and restaurants around the park, walk to our theater for a show, then head back to the hotel and nothing was more than an easy 10 minute stroll. Perfect location for exploring OTR.

The Symphony Hotel and Restaurant was a great experience. The hotel is uniquely different from the usual hotels I tend to stay at and the pork chop at the restaurant was amazing!Nearby activities: Endless number of things to do in the over the rhine neighborhood.

Great location. Cool style. The breakfast is underwhelming. Toaster didn’t work, no regular milk for cereal, the sausage was mediocre, and the coffee was mediocre. Still nice to have a breakfast option. Fun vibe in the room and a cool record playerRooms: Room is what you expect from a boutique hotel. Not luxury but fun and comfortable. Not a room to hang out in but when you are there it is fun.Walkability: Easy walk to the orchestra and to OTR.

This is a great little spot. Quiet B&B vibes in old architecture. Breakfast is served in a cool lounge downstairs where there is a restaurant and live music. The parking garage is a nice touch and right next to the stadium there, if you’re looking for that too.Rooms: They’ve maintained the feel of the history in this place but made sure it is comfortable in a more modern way. Great high ceilings.Safety: This place is located across from the police station, which does not mean that you are safer, (and might mean the opposite depending on who you are) but it is relevant info.Walkability: It’s easy to park in the garage (provided opener remote) and walk towards the center of the city from there.Food & drinks: Breakfast is provided all week in the restaurant/lounge and on weekends is a bigger deal with made to order eggs, etc. The simpler version during the week is still nice - with waffles, sausage, yogurt, cereal, fruit, and oatmeal.

We didn't stay at the hotel, but ate at the restaurant. First of all, we ate here a few years ago and I remember the food being good. This time, not so much. It was a Friday night (Nov 2023.) We ordered Caesar salads, and the lettuce on both of ours was brown and wilted, so we sent them back and ordered a different salad. While they were getting the new salads ready, they must have put our mains (both were fish) under the heat lamps, because after we got the new salads (which were fine), the fish came out and it was completely over cooked. You could easily tell it was overcooked just by looking. My grouper was dry and rubbery, and my wife's salmon was completely dried out. We would have sent these back too but had a symphony concert to go to.No way we ever come back here.Food & drinks: Food was really bad. Salads were wilted and gross, fish was overcooked. Do not recommend.

This is our Favorite hotel when we stay downtown! The atmosphere is so cozy and historical. The people there are so nice and will bend over backwards to help with what you need. If you are seeing a show at Music Hall and don't want to drive back to the suburbs late-night, this beautiful option is a no-brainer.

Symphony Hotel has a quaint bar with live music on the weekends. Usually they are a two/three person jazz type band. The ambience created by the band plus the coziness of the place makes it a pleasurable experience. The location is next to music hall in OTR. It is not obvious and must look for it. Service is friendly and attentive.

I visited the Synphony Hotel on Saturday Night for an evening of jazz with family. The jazz trio was exceptional, the band took requests, and the venue was a small boutique hotel with a unique decor, including historical memorbilia and synphony instruments. The setting,.sandwiched between the new FC Cincinnati soccer stadium and the Music Hall in OTR was scenic. Street parking is available, but a bit challenging during events. The appetizers were good. I imagine the rooms and dining in this hotel would be exceptional, although I have not tried them yet, I would recommend the hotel based on my experience.
