This place is great!! Got a hard taco, soft taco and a chili to! All of them were good, the hot and medium sauce doesn't really have a kick to it, if you need something with some heat, I suggest bringing your own hot sauce! Im definitely coming back for more, especially the taco salad which looks mighty cheesy!!

So disappointed. I have been eating at Taco Casa since my college days in the late 70s. Clifton, Hyde Park (2 different locations), Walnut Hills and starting driving all the way to Montgomery after a horrible customer service experience at the Norwood location 4 years ago. Tonight we drove from Anderson to eat here arriving at 6:35 pm. Young lady was pleasant enough to take my order and let me drop cash into tip jar. Then we found no sauces out- they were “washing all the dishes” at 6:30 but they’re open til 9. Ok, whatever, but when we asked for more sauce we were told we had been given what we were allowed because they were “washing dishes.” The Taco Salad had barely any meat on it so it was mostly lettuce even though I paid extra to add refried beans. And we were basically treated like an inconvenience when I inquired about the soft drink machine not working.
A woman at the register getting a large carry-out order was also telling me they told her she’d gotten her sauce allotment because that’s all they can give out once they start dishes.
We travel many miles and we’ve been loyal customers of Taco Casa for over 45 years. Very, very disappointed.

I went to Taco Casa today and had a wonderful experience eating lunch with two friends and the staff was (Trevonne and Curtis)very warm and friendly and fun. I had a hard taco and taco salad and it was delicious and it brought back memories of when it was located downtown off of Sixth Street (many years ago). I will be back.

I had the taco salad & it was ok. I don't think it has as good of flavor than years ago. The chips are HORRIBLE!! I think they put a whole shaker of salt on them. I couldn't eat them which was a waste! I asked the girls if they had some w/ less salt she said no. I won't be getting that anymore. Not sure if they come as a huge bag from someplace else. You need to put a tiny bit of salt on them or none. Let people put their own salt on.

I want to thank the three men thattook care of me this morning ! I akso want to say that the Manager I spoke to on Monday that was supposed to have my large order ready that he should not be the Manager ! I have never heard of a Manager NOT fullfilling an order or request that was placed two days in advance ! I was late with the lunch I had promised 64 people because of the Manager that did not process my request. The three men where not even made aware of my pre order, but they are the only reason I am giving a 5..

Food is good, but staff is flippant and rude, almost like the customer is a bother. I ordered tonight and the door dash driver, a very polite older gentleman. I asked him to ask for the hot sauce with jalapenos, he did so and was treated horrible. He said that the Employee at Taco Casa, a young man, said we don’t do that, we charge for that. When there never has been a charge for hot sauce. The Employee then went on a tirade about how nothing is free and nothing in life is free. I contacted Door Dash on the driver’s behalf about how poorly the driver had been treated. Door dash reached out to the store. No one should be treated poorly for just being a delivery person by a restaurant employee. The driver is a very nice man. There is no supervision in these stores, most run with one or two Employees, teen to early 20’s. Bad behavior is bad behavior.

Taco Casa Montgomery used to be one of my favorite Cincinnati staples, but it’s gone dramatically downhill. The customer service is awful — employees are often rude or dismissive, don’t say a literal word, and the store is frequently closed well before the posted hours. On more than one occasion, we’ve pulled up during “open” hours only to have the staff just stare at us through the door without a stupidly.

Prices keep climbing, but the portions get smaller every time. And now, the tortilla chips — literally one of the cheapest items to produce — come in tiny prepackaged sealed bags. They’re barely worth it and make the whole experience feel cheap and stingy.

After giving this location multiple chances, I’m officially done. It’s sad to see what was once such a local favorite fall this far.

The taco salad has declined tremendously. Always a favorite, but not anymore. You’ll get about 1/2 of the ingredients you used to get…especially the meat (a tablespoon at the most).
