This place is amazing! I was in town just for a couple days and I ate here both mornings; it was so good! The service is also exceptional! The waffle flight was the perfect thing to try all the different flavors and it was very filling, even though they were mini waffles! The next day I had the not-a-burrito. The sweet crepe with the spicy chorizo was delightful! I can’t fail to mention that the cappuccinos were made to perfection! Sitting outside on the patio made for a beautiful and peaceful morning! I’ll miss this place!

We have been here a few times due to the locations closer to us closing. The service is always great. The staff agreed to make my husband mussels even though they weren’t on the menu that day. Very kind.

I liked trying this place with my husband. We live close by and loved being able to walk over for delicious food. There was no wait around 3:30 on a Sunday afternoon. I got the waffle flight and he got the Nashville chicken & waffle. Prices are a bit steep but the food and service was excellent. Looking forward to coming back here and trying more things on the menu.

We had the egg/bacon/fruit dish and the classic chicken and waffle. Great meal and great service!

Edit to acknowledge the owner's response: I'm sorry I didn't notice your comment until now. In any case, I'm really glad to hear you're back in the kitchen. Someone needs to come up with more ideas for things to blend into mayonnaise.

I wasn’t surprised to heard about ToB’s situation based on my experiences there. A while ago, I went to the OTR location for a work meeting. As I was walking to the table where my group was seated, the owner (Jean whatever) was talking to another table, came around without looking and plowed into my left side. Entirely his fault, didn’t even turn around. Rightly or wrongly, I chose to let that go (anyway, that tells you something about this guy).

The waitress had a terrible attitude and a snarky answer to everything we asked or said. She just dropped our order on the table and disappeared for the next 30 minutes. On the way out, we got a dirty look from her (still don’t know what we did to earn that).

A couple of years later, I found myself at the Rookwood location (for another meeting, not my choice), which was just like being at a chain restaurant. Nothing too good, nothing too bad. The food was really nothing to write home about. I guess the one item that stood out was the fries/chips, but still, let’s get a grip, people, it’s just fries we’re talking about here. The chipotle mayonnaise was, well, mayonnaise with chipotle blended in, nothing remarkable (and not an item from Belgian cuisine).

Whatever my personal feelings about this place or its owner, it did enjoy some success. Clearly the business model was based on being a nichey, edgy (and pretentious) establishment. It’s very hard to square that with fast food-style expansion. Again, not surprised at all by the current situation.

It was a Sunday morning and we were shocked there wasn't a long wait. Only half of the restaurant was occupied but there were a few servers standing around. We had a reservation and our server was attentive but the food was just mid. My salad was partially brown and mostly the tough hearts of romaine. The most disappointing part, however, was the giant bar covered in dirty dishes. I almost took a picture. I never saw a bartender but multiple other employees walked by it, stood idly and just stared at it. It definitely took away from the ambiance of the place. The chain has definitely gone down hill over the last few years. I'm sure lack of good help and reliable workers is the primary reason. Our family has always looked to TOB as a special occasion place for Sunday weekend brunch. We bring OOT guests here and and our college kids want it when they come home. But I think that tradition has ended.

Visited with my friends about a week ago, and had a signature/traditional dish, the Bola(or Bolo?), which was fantastic -- a creamy, rich meat and pasta dish that was SO very good. (I should have gotten a salad, too, for some greenage and to have some leftovers, but I just ate the entire thing, instead. Eyeroll.) Kindly, we were warned when we arrived that there was only one server, she got to us as soon as she could, our drinks arrived quickly, and the service was just fine. We appreciated the advance notice, though.
