Terrific birthday experience for my wife. Received complimentary toast, and greeted her with birthday wishes. Server CJ was attentive, scallops and rigatoni were excellent! Nice music played; two thumbs up!

Nice addition to the fountain square area. Cool looking space and nice menu. Food was good, service was spotty and could use more help. Waiters were in the weeds. The cocktails were small for the price. Wine menu was ok. I'll try it again.

We really enjoyed the food. The table was narrow and felt tight with appetizers we ordered to share. My husband felt rushed by our waitress. She said we should order everything at once and she would bring them accordingly. Our appetizers came out right after our drinks were served so we could not enjoy our drinks before eating.

Everything we had was fantastic. The grilled eggplant appetizer is not to be missed. Warning: the “Palomino” mushroom bisque, meant to evoke the delicious version of the now gone Palomino is good, but does not taste at all like the original. The scallops and rigatoni were both perfectly prepared. Ambience is lively but can be a bit loud for dinner conversation on a weekend night

Great space and nice vibe with open kitchen. Cool bar, which opens to outdoor seating on the ( street side ) patio. Miranda served us and was attentive. The Hamachi Crudo was Yummy and the eggplant app was DElish with a nice prep-presentation! Our party enjoyed 2 salads - the one with prosciutto crisps was definitely the winner (although a bit overdressed). Pasta pesto was al dente, as described - the Veal was a big slab of it fried (again, as noted), my scallops were buttery and delicious. Drinks are good and wines by the glass, a nice selection. Not a huge menu but i do look forward to returning!

Our first time at The Davidson and we will be back! The food was delicious, the service was even better. The vide is relaxed and elegant. Great place to have a dinner date or meet a friend for drinks.

Server - the best. Personable yet professional; knowledgeable. Food - perfect temperature; great taste; well presented and prepared Drinks - delicious, unique, beautiful Music - distracts from what would have been perfect dining experience Seating - we sat in the patio space; it was delightful, watching all the folks walk by and other people having a great time at Fountain Square Staff - they work so marvelously well as a team; bartender remembered us and our drinks. What a nice touch

I was a party of 4 and seated on time for my reservation at 8:15pm. We placed a drink and food order and after approximately 5 to 10 minutes the manager came over and stated was not serving us our drinks. When we asked for a reason none was given. We politely asked again and again given no reason. We decided to leave given the fact we did nothing wrong and not treated well by the manager.

This is my second visit to The Davidson and it won't be my last. This time, a group of seven women gathered for a happy hour toast to a friend's new job with bottles of a delicious cremant. We tried both the fondue and the roasted eggplant and both were outstanding. As others have written, the tableside preparation of the eggplant is entertaining, and the bartender was right to encourage us to scrape up every last bite. I'd reserved a table for four for those who might want dinner and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating when it turned out six decided to stay. Everyone enjoyed their order whether it was a bowl of Palomino's mushroom bisque or a full entree. We enjoyed a very drinkable house red wine. The only disappointment was with the scallops: the butter overpowered the dish and ruined the balance of flavors. We look forward to returning to sit outside on this busy downtown corner!

Our first visit. Tried the eggplant that I'd seen reviewed. the presentation was fun, the eggplant was good. My choices, Italian chopped salad and vodka sauce pasta. Both good, both enough to take home. Other entrees enjoyed--scallops, clam pasta, steak and frites. Everyone enjoyed their choices. It was loud and only way to be heard was to increase the noise level :( But everyone seemed to be enjoying time together and their meals, so go with it :) Service was great from entering to leaving.

The Davidson is a great addition to the Cincinnati dining scene. The eggplant appetizer was amazing and unique. We also really enjoyed the veal with arugula! Chris was very informative about the menu. We'll definitely return. Hopefully, they will soon allow you to book a reservation on Open Table for more than 4 people.

We had the cheese fondue as a starter which was delicious. My spouse had the brick chicken and I had the yellow fin Niçoise salad. Both were excellent. Our server,Kia was very competent and kind. My only complaint was the loudness of the music soundtrack which made it hard to have a conversation at times.

So impressed that Thunderdome pulled off this standard of service, food and ambiance. Definitely a step or two up from their other spots. Hoping it stays consistent! Great food & great service by Kelsey at the bar.

The "background" music made conversation difficult. Fondue and tuna tartare apps wonderful. Chopped salad very good, loved the proscuitto. Pasta was truly fresh and al dente. Wine list a little pricey, but they offer a house wine that is more reasonable. Service was spotty which could be a function of newness.

I was really blown away by the quality of the food. Shared the Alpine fondue and it was a great start. The fusilli pasta (perfectly al dente) with sausage in a pink vodka sauce was superb. But the star of the night was the Duroc pork chop in an agrodolce sauce. Phenomenal! The chop was super moist and flavorful. Easily the best pork chop I've ever eaten. Kudos to The Davidson for elevating the food scene in the Fountain Square district!
