I’d give them zero stars if I could. I came in and the restaurant was completely empty. After being seated nobody came to our table for 10 min, we had to ask for a rag because the table was sticky and the guy just threw a towel at us without saying anything. Then the hostess (or manager? She was wearing regular clothes) came back over to us and rudely told us to quit messing with the divider because they’ll need to put someone beside us… the restaurant was so empty so I think she just needed to get some power back in her miserable life. Truly the worst people ever.
Just so you know who the workers were - the hostess was a short, stocky woman with short, curly hair. The guy that threw the towel was some guy with brown hair and mullet like haircut. He seemed like he thought he was a bodybuilder or something…

Fried chicken tasted bad, would not recommend. Sweet Potatoes were ok, wouldnt recommend those either. Service was mediocre, could have been better. Lighting was too dark to see the food properly. Overall, me and two other diners, we didn't like the food.

I thought this restaurant was good but not great. I had seen some reviews and I didn't think it lived up to what I was expecting. The chicken was good. I wish a side item
would have been included in the price of the chicken entree.
We went on a Saturday evening and it was extremely busy but they seated us quickly and the food came out quickly. The chicken BLT was great. The dark meat fried chicken was wonderful. The burnt ends were fabulous. Definitely dont sleep on this place.

food was OK. the drunksticks were soggy but warm, almost like they were reheated. the green beans were hard and very peppery, we exchanged them for the collards, which tasted better. our server was great, this review is strictly for the quality of food.
Went to The Eagle for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. Everything was delicious. Service was excellent. We LOVED the fried chicken sandwich, the drumsticks, the spoon bread, the French fries and the macaroni and cheese.
We're able to make reservation for 8 after taking my sons family to see Toy Story at the Pops on a Sunday afternoon. Our server was great. Our food came out quick which is necessary with three kids. 3 adults got the chicken sandwich which they loved . My granddaughter loved her plain noodles with her 2 drumsticks. This place is nice as it is a short walk thru the park from Music Hall, open on Sunday, now takes reservations and across the street from Graeters ice cream. Great!

The hostess was short with us after being very polite with her. We were sat at a table right by the door where a bunch of people crowded around from waiting. The table was for 6 but we had 3, so they but a block on the table and used it as a “divider” even though it didn't do much and they sat people on the other side not too long after. Our server was then short with us and it felt like we were a waste of her time. The food was overall good and the prices were fair!
OTR staple. Consistent quality, service and ambiance for years. Litteraly the best friend chicken and Mac-n-cheese on the East side of the Mississippi River.
Great food! I really love coming there to eat but their staff makes me not want to come back. Always some issue, someone rude, unorganized. They need to work on their service. Food 10/10
Excellent food and service.

We had been to the Eagle before, but today for some reason the food was over the top. We had chicken and sweet potatoes and macaroni and cheese and greens and shrimp and grits and corn bread mashed potatoes. The service was exceptional.
