I haven't been to the Eagle in a long time and it was nice to reconnect with a friend over some fried chicken and delicious sides, including mashed potatoes, mac & cheese and biscuits. I do feel guilty for not having greens, but it's nice to indulge every once in a while. Service was great. Interior was a little dark.
Our entire experience was excellent. They catered to my son who turned 21 and make his night memorable.
Recommended to us by an Uber driver. The fried chicken is very good, crispy outside and moist inside. It is served with hot honey, which is adds nice sweetness and spice. The sides were just good and is the reason we brought the rating down. There is a good beer selection and t.v.s to watch the game. One of our party had an apricot cocktail and didn't like it.
Another great meal at Eagle. Those who had been there before knew the fried chicken was the best choice with mac & cheese, mashed potatoes and corn bread as sides. I did try the shrimp and grits for a change, and it didn't disappoint. Our group is a handful, and Azita was up for the challenge. We enjoyed our dinner and the service. We'll be back again.
One of the most amazing experiences at a restaurant my family and I have had yet. We were having trouble getting into our rental for the night, resulting in being late for our reservation. I called to see if we could push our reservation back. Not only were they so kind on a busy Saturday night, they also brought us out a complimentary started for our troubles. Waitress was super kind and informative. They let us sit and talk without rushing us. Couldn't have asked for a better time and food!
The Eagle is past its prime. Used to be an OTR staple. The hostess was super rude - rolled her eyes when we said we didn't want to sit at the communal table right by the door. (I also happen to be 9 months pregnant.) Food was just OK - chicken kind of rubbery. We also witnessed one of the bus boys clear the food off a table nearby while they were in the bathroom, resulting in them needing to bring out all new food. Overall very disappointed with the poor service, will not be returning.
If you want delicious homestyle food, like fried chicken, green beans, Mac and Cheese, and Kale Salad then dine here. Wow! Great dining experience.
The chicken is deliciously seasoned and moist, and the mac & cheese, spoonbread and fries all outstanding.
We had the best meal at the Eagle. There were 7 of us and we all loved the food. The staff was so warm and welcoming and we had excellent service.
Our waiter was excellent. We had our 3 kids with us and he was patient with them ordering their own meals. He constantly checked in on us to make sure we were fine. The brisket Mac was delicious.

As usual the food was delicious. We love the chicken, and mac'n' cheese. Unfortunately the service tonight was not very good. We were not given silverware or napkins when seated. Our appetizer came out and we basically had no way to eat it. I had to go up to the hostess stand to get silverware as there was no server in sight. We ending up using our plates for the appetizer so they were dirty, when the runner brought our food, he just dropped it off and ran, not a word. I had to ask for clean plates. They did finally bring plates but still no server in sight. Our drinks were empty, after about half our food was gone, the server finally came by and checked but still did not say she'd get us refills, we actually had to ask. We'll be back but hopefully, the server has a better day next time.
Phenomenal experience as always!! They were able to accommodate me last minute, the service was great as always. It was pretty late so it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves “which my date really liked”. The food and drinks were amazing. Overall 10/10 Highly recommend
We went to celebrate my aunt's birthday and they took amazing care of us. The food was amazing. Paige and Hunter took great care of us.
Granted we ate at 9:30PM, but the food was not fresh, but tasted like it came out from under a heat lamp. The mac and cheese was good, but the fried chicken was some of the worst I have eaten. Would probably not go back.
Our server was excellent. Food was great. Very loud though which made it hard to hear each other talk.
